What he said

I have been watching all the games from the finals live today along with SEC title game. Some boring slow teams are now on Ohio somebody is playing Michigan St. Not exactly SEC level but between that and the Scott Co vs Meade title game it works
So far I think the 1a game was the best 1.
Congrats to Williamsburg for making it to the big show. There's always next year. Congrats to the back 2 back champs Mayfield. It was an honor attending that school and it was an honor putting on that red helmet on Friday nights. I miss it! It's an honor being able to watch those young guys every friday night during the fall. Hope I can get the chance to see em in BG next season. I know I'm new to BGR but congrats to 64 and his williamsburg squad. From all the love everyone has shown him he seems like a real stand up guy.Go Mayfield!
I'm pretty sure we could see him again next year at this time.

I'm not seeing it, that QB was a senior was he not? without him they may have a hardtime, he was what made them go. Well over in that end of the state
I'll be honest, I thought W'burg would take this game. I've covered a lot of their games this year, and I have always come away impressed. But, even in the loss, there is nothing to be ashamed of. The Jackets lose QB Dalton Sizemore, but will come back strong in 2014, with Skyler Griffith and Corey Shelton returning.

I preview the championship game here. Please ignore the prediction! haha

Will miss Dalton for sure next year but we will be fine...Skylar Griffith who played QB through MS will take over...Skylar has a different set of skills that will give defenses fits...Looks like his brother Andrew will play next year and would move into Skylars WR spot...At 6-5 Andrew will be a big target for Skylar and with Corey at the other WR that will cause match up problems for other teams...Barring injuries next year, I expect us to return to BG to play Mayfield where we will line up and try again...
WhaT will Wburg lose off their line? That will be where Raceland loses its most.
They have the Griffith kid and I think 2 of Sizemore's brothers. One of the brothers was an all state 8th grade qb this year, I think.
Williamsburg loses Sizemore, one offensive lineman and Sulfridge who played significant roles this year. Sulfridge was the only loss on defense. If Andrew plays the offense will be close to this year except that all those juniors become seniors. Sulfridge was valuable but he is one of about 6 kids Williamsburg seems to have a carbon copy of. Here again all the juniors will be seniors. Avoiding injuries Williamsburg should be better next year. They will have as good a shot as anybody from the east to return. Pikeville loses Hall and his 29 touchdowns. The majority of their roster is back. Raceland loses Beech and Elkins. Hazard loses Hudson but have the bowling ball, Jones, back. I don't know what Hazard loses up front but they have the majority of their skill people back. Fairview, who knows who is staying or going. Paintsville has a lot of skill people coming back and could sneak into the picture.

Williamsburg loses two starters. Our QB and offensive left tackle. Everyone else were juniors and sophomores. Their plan right now is to move Wilson to oline and move Skylar to QB. Hopefully Andrew plays next year (has been injured) to take Skylar's spot. We should be ok and I think after an initial adjustment period will be even better than this year. Skylar will give us a different look. More Wildcat and more deep balls. The thing I hate for Skylar is he won't get the chance to break the schools receiving records.
55 you won I like my crow with BBQ sauce. Williamsburg I am so proud just to know we made it so far we lost to a very good team , with that experience we still have the heart of a lion just like McCarther said we shall return, You have made this entire community so proud of you. God bless all of you, You are wonderful children. SEE YOU NEXT YEAR

Williamsburg will only lose one offensive lineman. The Wilson kid is bigger and more athletic. Wilson had not played football in two years prior to this year. The Tayler kid was ahead of him technique wise but Wilson is a much better athlete. Defensive line returns everybody. Losing Tayler will hurt Williamsburg's depth. They should be better up front next year because of the experience this bunch has. They return kids who have got a lot of snaps over the last couple of years.
Dalton Sizemore will be miss by this team they have been a passing team first, and Sizemore running second.whoever play qb has a big task,Defense will be even better 64SUR :Cheerlead

It's actually khsaa.net
Sizemore had a great career and his leadership will be sorely missed. You could not have a better kid.
The bad thing about playing the state championship is that as soon as the clock hits 0, the season is over and now I have nothing to do until baseball season.
We need more fresh meat to feed our hungry Cardinal next year. Maybe The Race will figure it out. I always enjoy the fresh meat, they make the experience more fun for us
MC, I think if we get there we will see the same boys we saw Friday.
Getting there could be tough next year. Frankfort and Beechwood both return the majority of there teams. The good news is, we'll only have to play one or the other, the bad news is we'll have to go to there place to do it. Not sure what Russellville will look like. Pikeville had a young team this year and I expect them to be a strong contender along with W'Burg and Hazard on that side of the bracket. I assume Fairview will remain on probation, is that correct? And, Raceland loses a lot, from what I've heard.
I guess its time to start a new thread next season for 2014 :rockon

TriCounty, thanks for sharing. You like most, could not have likely understood what Williamsburg was facing and I hope that statement was not taken the wrong way. A close look before this game revealed that Mayfield was a huge favorite in most aspects and they were. But Williamburg had a freat season and learned alot aboutwhat it takes to get to the top. Will you share your article from after the game with us? Thanks
