Noted. If that is the case, and seemingly 90% of the transfers are seniors, it seems like they are trying to make a run and doing so by bringing kids in. They may very well be doing it all legally, with moves, schanging of addresses, etc. this is not an accusation of recruiting. There's a difference in RECRUITING and a couple kids convincing another kid to switch schools, or a booster convincing parents to move their kid.
Regaurdless of how they got there, it seems like Wburg is trying to get some more speed and develope their running game a bit more. It may work out for them. But if you look at the teams who have brought in kids for a year, Fairview, PCC, and the like, its not worked out and they still csme up short or didnt even make it to the dance. Fairview brought even more speed in for last year and they didnt even make it out of the district. Good luck to Wburg sounds like they have alot of new faces to break into the way they do things.

I think i need to clear this up i was just joking about speedy wilson with mysonis55. Williamsburg has the same player they had lastyear minus 6 senior. Except for the massey kid transfering from harlan county. And incoming freshman from williamsburg other than that i know of anyone else.

We got some transfers. We lost a lot but, I don't think the cupboard was near bare.

With so much moving around that goes on amongst the NKY private schools, I love seeing the same names move up through the ranks in public/county school systems. Names like Olinger from Hazard, Shelton in Wburg, Manis/Forrest/Christian at Raceland, Jackson/Turrell at Mayfield, and the countless families in Beechwoods team rosters. A little more than a moth from now, we wont have anything else to talk about other tha GAMES....
THANK GOD
THANK GOD

With all your 64 teams, you might get us I wouldn't count on it though.

I droped by the Bug practice they may not beat Hazard, Raceland, Mayfield, as for that matter Wayne Co. but, IMO this is the best Williamsburg team I have ever seen on the field, We here in the Burg are in for A good ride. We will enjoy all the Williamsburg children, I honestly hope that every football fan no matter what team or where they are gets as much joy from their team as we will get from our orange bugs. (47 dressed) we have some roundballers that were on A trip.
07-14-2014, 07:26 PM
No back watering now. 64 has already said several times that the orange jackets are gonna win and the west is weak.
07-14-2014, 07:28 PM
The question still remains, are the jackets 42 points better?

55 I can help you, Winning is important but what is more important is to be in the game with your child. I promise you if the yellow Jackets loose every game they will always be winners in our hearts and mind, and we will all be right there on the sideline each and every game. I promise that beating Mayfield is not the most important thing on our schedule, The most important thing is that they grow and become caring, compassionate, educated adults when we win we are happy, when we lose, we learn, and grow. We don't set up all night worried about beating or loosing to Mayfield. We felt that it was an honor to compete for the KY state championship. Our kids will carry that with them the rest of their life. We may have the opportunity to come back and we may learn from loosing.
