Highlands/Simon Kenton Predictions

Best athletes need to play both ways. Believe me. There's a spot for them. Where they play would work itself out. This is ANY team. There's a ton of schools that play kids both ways.

Are you serious that Highlands hasn't had outside help?

What year was that when they won with Mitchell, Stowers, (one other CCH guy), Nevels, and whoever else?

I was typing to a friend from Highlands that I see a few times a week and he was talking about the team in '06 or '07 and rattled off 6 or 7 names that weren't from Fort Thomas or that area, and he even was from Newport.

SK will win 75 to 14.

SK wins going away.

SK 49
HHS 14

Your best players play both ways. Simple as that. Where they play? That's a coaches decision. A good coach can figure that out. Or he should be able to. But wherever it helps the team be competitive. This goes for ANY team.

Derek Smith (Silver Grove) Jared Lorenzen (Taylor Mill) the Burns kid that plays for UC know. Steve Beagle from Boone Co. Just the ones off the top of my head. The schools all-time leading scorer in B-Ball Scott Draud is from Crestview Hills...... Hmm

This a football thread or basketball thread? Draud played no football. Did Steve Beagle help Highlands win a title? The Bruns kids mom was a Highlands graduate so there is no surprise there. Do they still play at UC? Does Silver Grove even have football? Lorenzen was not a tuition student was he? Highlands has won 23 state titles and the guys that you mentioned were a part of how many? I will wait for your response.

Starts happening a little more frequently starting this week. Curious to see if the moves really make a difference.

Never happens. Hopefully the kids are as cocky as you are. By the way, did you ever play the game? I am betting that is a big NO.

Stop it! NKY was a formidable Tecmo Bowl Player, it's where he learned everything about football.....

Opps, forgot about that one. Yea, I have to put that one in the win column.

NO!

They wouldn't have beaten Cooper and Ryle, unless Cooper and Ryle put their uniforms on Campbell County!
#45
Maybe right. But way more competitive games

sstack Wrote:NO!

Really. What do you base that on? You yourself said you were not at the Ryle game. Were these games really not winnable at the start of the 4th quarter? I cannot believe I am saying this, but Bo has a really good point and I think you will see this taking place more and more in the remaining weeks of the season.
#47
If they want to compete for a state title. They have no choice. It's the only way they will stay in the fight.
#48
The days of if they score 40. We will score 50 are gone for now. This should have been recognized during the summer. And gotten kids in shape to go both ways. Now it's hurry up and get them in shape to do it. The philosophy has always been. How fast/ quick can you get from point A to point B. Now it's become. How many times can you do it??? It's like telling a track kid that trained only for the 800 meters to run the 1600 meters.

Love to see guys from privates complaining about kids playing out of district.

Bruns mom went to HHS so that makes it "OK". Silver Grove doesn't have football so that makes it "OK". Lorenzen didn't pay tutition? Prolly got all the food he could swallow. 23 titles, would love to know the answer of how many they won with just kids from the fort.

You seem to have all of the answers so go figure it out. And you use the word "OK", what the heck is that supposed to mean. Is it OK? Sure it is OK and it happens throughout the state in almost every sport does it not?

Please tell me what IS NOT OKAY.

I wouldn't bet on it. Heard Boone has been working harder than highlands. SK 56 HHS 21. Running clock at 8 to go in third.

How is Collins doing since their one and only lucky state title? That is right, not good. This will not be a running clock.

I think SK wins comfortably but not by the blow out many are predicting...neers by 4 scores!

I think Highlands had a Sheffield playing DE also.

Then add in all the phones calls made to get kids to come to Highlands. Big Grin

You are funny and pitiful all at the same time. So those kids you mentioned came from what school? Do you even know? Your petty jealousy is very becoming of you.
