Grubb is a very good player hid on a very bad team.

I believe they go by stats on this, so hard to lose the key player. Glad he is getting some recognition.

Are they about the sane size?

Woods, at a distance looks a bit bigger than Nelson, taller.

I would say they are similar in size if Nelson is not bigger. Luke Woods is not very big,but he is fast Smile

I would say Luke is about 5 ft 9. I saw on rosters Luke listed at 5 ft 10 165 lbs and Nelson 5 ft 9 175 lbs.

That is about as close as you can get to the same size!

There is another RB @ NL in that same size range, his name escapes me.

let us look at that killer North Laurel schedule
South Laurel 1-5
Harrison 2-4
W. Jessamine 0-6
Mason 0-5
Lincoln 1-5
Harlan Co 1-5

Really the best team they have played is Harrison County and their opponents are a combined 4-30. Heck with that schedule everyone should look like an all american:eyeroll::popcorn:

I agree 100% but I still think theyre are good team. Not the greatest, but anything less than undefeated with that schedule would be a huge disappointment.

Nelson is 5ft 9in 170 plays like he is bigger moves well and runs with power if he needs too. woods is a very good runner and dangerous passer both very good players. Both are fun to watch.

This horse has been beat to death on here! Everyone has given their opinion regarding North's schedule! Like has been said before, who knew they were going to take them out of the strong district and deposit them in a weaker one when they already had games scheduled. That is not their fault. No one they have played walked up to them after the game and handed them the "W" they played a game, and won. These teams didn't roll over and play dead, give these teams a little credit, some of them are better than their record indicates even. I have watched them play every game this season North Laurel, has a good team. Some of you may have forgotten North played Southwestern last season and only lost by 2 pts and Pulaski only beat them 1 pt during regular season. It may take winning at the end of the season or in the playoffs to prove it, to some of you naysayers, but I feel like North has the talent to win against teams with a good record as well. Who knew all these other teams - yeah 6 of them so far would struggle like they have? I sure didn't talk to any one or hear anyone on here chanting before the season started that all these teams would all be really down this year! Sure makes me think, Touchdown Jaguar and others are right when they say:

:haters:

I have been studying up on strength of schedule for high school teams since this came up and the general consensus is: bottom line strength of schedule does not matter in high school - other than calibrating teams for the intensity of playoff atmospheres. A lot of times going in to playoffs these teams grew into their own shoes which I see could happen with North on the playoff stage. So we'll see how it plays out for this talented team.

North Laurel is a good team. only two teams that beat them last year two best in 5A. and it was 1 to Pulaski 2 southwestern. Southwestern beat them bad in playoffs. But north is better this year I thank.

SORRY North also lost too Knox 3 to 7 last year

Ok 1/4bak explain your theory behind this I only went back and looked at 1A Williamsburg scheduled for 2014

Knoxville Halls 0-6
South Laurel 1-5
Pike County Central 3-3
Wayne County 1-5
Newport 3-3
Harrison County 0-6

Williamsburg opponents was 8-28 at this point last year and should have won the state Championship against Mayfield. Take it from me I have been hearing this **** for 4 yrs now following Williamsburg about a weak schedule. 2011 Williamsburg lost to the state Champion Hazard. 2012 Williamsburg lost to hazard again on a miracle run at the end of the game or Williamsburg would have been playing for their first state Championship game. 2013 Williamsburg play for a state Championship 2014 Williamsburg play again for a State Championship. Another words if you are winning everybody is saying weak schedule...North Laurel keep winning and it will come. 64SUR :Cheerlead :Cheerlead:Cheerlead

I agree. Those in the know that have been around North Laurel football for a long time, say this is the best team they have ever had there. I really think they will be good for awhile there with what they have coming on. Someone was telling me last week, they did away with their old grade school program there and have a new program where their teams travel to play and they are doing really well getting a lot of good experience with out of town teams now. That will help a program in my opinion.
