#1 5A Bowling Green vs #7 6A McCracken Co

Man this is going to be the game of the regular season for Mc to prove where they belong. With district 2's eyes barring down on Mc in the playoffs, Mc gets a chance to prove to the state that they can compete on a elite level.. they have every tool needed to beat BG but can they get it all jiving an keep their composer late in the game an keep BG's skill and experience at bay.. should be a hell of a game ..
#2
I would be shocked if this were closer than three TD's.

But MC gets creds for a strong schedule.
#3
McCracken will win.
#4
Bowling Green by 20.

Bowling Green is top 5-6 team in the State, so they should win, but McCracken is a good team and can put up some points. Defense will decide the game as well as special teams. McCracken may have to use some of their best players to play on special teams or defense, as opposed to just going one way. The play offs changes how you approach the game as winning in and advancing in your class is where it is all at in the end.

McCracken by a TD in a high scoring affair.. 34-28

Bowling Green 28-14

If Mc hopes to even hang with dist. 2 they better win.. look how convincingly st x beat them.
#11
Bowling Green in blow out fashion. It'll get ugly
#12
If BG isn't better than they were last year I don't see this being a blow out fashion show...how's their run dfence vs pass dfence do they pass more or run??
#13
McCracken definitely has the ability to put points on the board, but we know that top to bottom BG should be a stronger team.
If MC could hang with them and keep pace, then they could be in position to do something at the end. If they cant keep the chains moving, it will prove to be a long night.
The key factor in this game will be BG's defense. Do they keep MC's high powered offense off the field; or do they find themselves in a shootout?

I am going to have to give BG the edge, but I would be happy for MC to prove me wrong.

BG 38
MC 22

Until McCracken can convincingly beat a top 2a school, I have a hard time thinking they can beat a top 5a school hope im wrong. Im stuck in between saying McCracken gets a running clock on them, or wins a squeaker, so ill go Bowling Green by 10 points.

Mayfield is an unusual 2A program with more players dressed and able to play than a couple of 6A schools on McCrackens schedule. That being said beating them by one point is a W. Bowling Green is a great team that has built it's reputation in the last 20-25 years. I can remember when they were a one football school playing town and county. McCracken has played for 3 years and will get there someday with platoon football ability. Just play the game.

Bowling Green is always one of the most overrated teams in the state, maybe the most overrated team in the state. WKY football lacks discipline. I'm going with McCracken.

You are not smart. McCracken is way west of Bowling Green.

Western Kentucky is when you cross the Tennessee River as we like to point out which is different than West Kentucky. Bowling Green is in Southern Kentucky.
#19
Wow, now we lack discipline.

Just imagine how many more championships you would have if you were disciplined. It's a shame really.

Could you teach Mayfield how to have discipline?:biglmao:

I guess that makes me a McCrackhead.

Sorry, forgot about Mayfield. Great program! Until this year they have been the best team in 1A, 2A, 3A, and 5A.

I go away for a few days and everybody has lost their minds! Come on guys? Do any of you think McCracken County is going to stroll on down to Bowling Green and beat the Purples. Better teams have tried. Only a few have succeeded. Conservatively, 35-14 Purples.

I picked Bowling Green over McCracken but that's a cocky statement. I don't think its that far fetched for someone to actually pick McCracken. A team called Graves county who probably was no better than this McCracken team strolled on down to Bowling Green and beat the purples when the season was on the line.

Graves and Cody Crider also beat McCracken last year as they played 2 nearly perfect games. Anything can happen in football.

McCracken very well could. Bowling Green thought they were going to win their games by three touchdowns in the playoffs when Highlands was in 5A. Instead the west sent teams that Highlands dispatched in the finals by scores of 50-0, 47-0, and 35-7. Bowling Green is very lucky that Highlands moved into 5A when they were down. Otherwise we would have seen about a 50-7 whipping of Bowling Green in the state finals.

I'm so pleased to see you aren't in hiding anymore. Lets analyze Highlands 5 losses this year shall we?

What's cocky about saying my team will win 35 -14? What happened last year has little to do with this years team. Lets face it, McCracken County is 7-1 because of their schedule. I'm glad they stepped up and scheduled BG. They need to keep stepping it up, if they want to be competitive in 6A. Whoever picked MC to win is just wishful thinking. I think our players remember last years Graves County game. They won't overlook McCracken County!
