Just a quick question, how many transfers did you all get this year. I was told 68 was a transfer from JC but not sure. You all have really managed to put together a great team this year. Wish both teams an injury free game.

98 I will defer to gigantic melons for that answer. I am with you on a injury free game for both teams, they've played their hearts out no doubt

Do you really believe in half the shit that comes out of your mouth. Luckily the kids at Paintsville don't share your philosophy, cause if they did it could very well be the end of their season. Paintsville continues to take it one game at a time toward their ultimate goal.

Number 68 had never played football before this season. It is his first year anywhere.

He's dang good to have never played before

Not a bad player to have never played before a little raw from watching film from the 1st quarter of last game but over all not bad at all. Too bad he is a senior, would like to see him another year on the field. Good luck to both teams

Trevor Preston #68's last year playing football was 8th grade at Paintsville Middle School according to one of the assistant coaches. No transfers other than the exchange student that kicks off.

I agree fellows. I think he could potentially have been among the best linemen in the state with a full four years of conditioning and coaching and the natural physical tools he possesses. He has been a huge contributor for the Tiger front seven this season.

It seams like everyone is surprised by Paintsville's success this year. This group of seniors went to the state championship in eight grade. Which is not a small feat coming from such a small school. I was at that game. Paintsville Middle School dressed 23 players. I can't remember the opponent but they dressed almost 60 in the championship. Those young men didn't take that loss very well, nor the losses they had as Freshman, Sophomores or Juniors. They have worked very hard to get to where they are now. I'm not surprised. I saw this coming four years ago. I'm going to bang a gong and cheer very hard, be proud of their accomplishments. I won't take any crap off anyone nor let anyone give any crap to these fine young men and coaches. It's the Year of the TIGER!! Get used to it!!!

Raceland jrs did the same thing in 8th , ended up playing butler co who is D5 or 6 not sure which one
11-12-2015, 08:22 PM
one thing for sure that is nice is it seems as though paintsville OL and DL has no one that plays both ways. That's a huge advantage, no matter what size the school. Got a group of talented young men for sure.
11-12-2015, 08:28 PM
There are 100 boys at Paintsville High School grades 9 through 12. 45 are on the football team. It still amazes me.
11-12-2015, 08:41 PM
Racelands numbers are about the same , does anyone know how many boys are enrolled at Raceland ? They had 65 on their roster to start the season but one quit and another was recently removed from the team and it seems like there are more gone but I'm thinking they have around 60-62 players , which tells me Raceland and Paintsville are doing something right to get those numbers

Calm down there Humongous Melons! No one is taking anything away from Paintsville or giving them any crap. However no one is giving them anything either. Everyone has a bunch of fine people on the sidelines who are working their tails off. The Year of the ??? will be decided on the field the next few weeks.

The Tigers are just working on the Rams right now. One week at a time. It will be your turn when it's time.

Although this has nothing to do with my post, I fully agree! Several good teams still in the hunt trying to prevent a Pikeville/Paintsville semi showdown!
