MLB opening day.
The Masters.
NHL Playoffs start.
NBA Playoffs start.
WrestleMania XXXII.
Men's and Women's Basketball championships.

If April isn't the best, I don't know what month could top it.

Not sure about the best, but it seems to be the most active.
Out of all the things you've got listed, I really only care about college basketball.
Don't really start watching baseball until races for the playoffs really get heated up.
Not sure how anybody can watch golf on television. Its like tennis and excruciating to watch. Not a wrestling fan and its more like a tv show instead of a sporting even to me, and the NBA has gotten so watered down its hard to watch until playoff time.
I think my favorite would be bowl season which is also the start of college basketball season so most likely November to December for me.

Like RIUTG said, it may be the most active but I myself don't find it as the best sports month. I really don't know of one in all seriousness. I love March because of March Madness but then I don't know if that counts because the championship game is in April.

...and the start of turkey season occurs! Warmer consecutive days in the 60s-70s gets bonus points for me as well.

I think November is right up there also between the NFL, College Football, Deer Season, The World Series ( if series goes into extra games ), and yes the Nascar Cup finals. Once you add Thanksgiving, it's a wrap. November gets the nod in my book!!!
