o my, you are seriously making my day with all your "insightful" posts.Smile Smile

i dont know how you can say he is wasted talent...what kind of things have you seen that would lead you to beleive such a thing.
#32
[B][I] Hold up, lol seriously, where is T.C. Maynard ? LOL
#33
No way you can put T.C up in the top. That is just ridiculous. Wow.
#34
Lets leave me out of this thanks? No need to be sarcastic and so forth. I know I'm not top 10 or whatever. But I know as much about baseball as the next guy and I am mentally into the game all the time. I try my best and idc who wants to think different and I'm happy with what I can do. Thanks.

Tell em buddy! I appriciate your hard work and effort you give to the team! You might not be top material but your right, you give it your all and thats all you can do. Way to play with some heart man.
#36
I too appreciate GOAT's efforts on the field....i would just like to see a little quicker throw over to first sometime.
#37
T.C we love you lol. All anyone can do is give it their best. You show em where its at this year.
#38
Hey desired1 maybe the reason Johnson don't have a 300 batting average for his high school years is because he doesn't have a family member taking care of the books......And beside Harless got on base most of the time because of walks,he hardly ever hit a ball.
#39
Now this is supposed to be about who you think the top players in the region are. not bashing people. Harless is a really good player.
#40
Players I have seen play.

Brandon May-SCHS
Chase Huffman-pikeville
Weston Robinson-pikeville
Justin Anderson-pikeville-regional championship winning pitcher
Josh Rodebaugh-ACHS
Scotty Little-ACHS
Braxton Lafferty-SCHS
Daniel Pugh-Paintsville
Justin Blanton-JCHS
Matt Fyffe-JCHS

Those are in no order but I would put Brandon May because he is solid pitching, hitting and playing defense, and Chase huffman does nothing but pitch.
#41
Rodebaugh attends Prestonsburg FUPA.

yeah I was at that game. He batted left handed but turned around and batted right handed when he hit the HR. He is an awesome talent.

Ok, now that I was thinking about it he did switch, but being able to switch hit at the high school level is amazing.
#43
Chase Huffman is by far the best pitcher.

No, the reason Johnson hasn't had a .300 batting average is because he fails to put the ball in play, in case you didn't know. I am not bashing him, I just don't see how you could put him as one of the best in the region when he has not shown it in 3 years. Daniels brother does keep the book, but after every play, if YOU watch the game, Coach Hall  tells him to put either a hit or an error  or whatever. So there is no need for you to call me out and bash the Cards coaching staff. If you want to talk to me PM ME.

I agree with you on this and I know who you areTongue I am a big fan lol and as fas as best player in the region I have said who I think that is. Braxton Lafferty
#47
I say Braxton is the best in the 15th all around. He does alot and Bmay does alot too but I would have to take Lafferty on this one
#48
I disagree. Brandon May is better then Braxton all around. He is more versatile IMO. BMay is they key to SC's success next season.....

and I disagree with you lol so we will agree to disagree lol

Brandon May is a good all around player. I look for him to be one of the best in the region this year.
#51
justin slone should be in there somewhere
#52
The 15th region is fortunate enough to have a bunch of really good baseball players.  You can't ignore JC players JD Plummer, and Blanton is a good candidate for the best.  Pikeville always has solid players and this year is no exception.  AC has some returning that are a match for anyone.  SC has Lafferty and IMO he is the best. We haven't got to see all his versatility because no one is good as him in the SS position. May only fills in when Lafferty pitches and I heard Lafferty hadn't even pitched since little league until last year.    If SC had anyone better for the spot he could play anywhere.  No doubt May is one of the regions finest but Lafferty is the more consistant player and works on baseball year round.  All I know for sure is the 15th is gonna be fun to watch because each team has players that make baseball fans proud.

I agree with you on all of this. I agree that Lafferty is the besy. May is awesome, but I think Lafferty works harder all year round. He concentrates solely on baseball, where as May is a multi-sport athlete. I will say they will both need to live up to the talent this year for the Cards to be able to win in a tough 57th district.

Brandon May. He does it with the bat, on defense and on the mound. Not to mention his speed on the basepass. He is the best overall player in the region. Huffman is the best prospect and excels at his position better than anyone else, but May is better all around.

Yes B. May plays more positions and is awesome and very versatile. Braxton doesn't get to play more positions, because SC needs him on SS lol. They can't afford to move him anywhere else but the mound. But tell me he couldn't play anywhere else on the field and I will call you loco lol

[/quote]They are both pretty decent players but neither one of them have great arms. May doesn't throw any harder than he did when he was in junior league. Neither one of them has the arm that Justin has.
#57
Are you joking me? There is no SS in the region who gets it across to first any better than B. Laff

I agree with this post,  but where is Sturgill from JC? He is returning with a lot of experience behind the plate this year for the eagles.
#59
Sorry about that - Wasn't sure of some names and sure don't want to leave anyone out.  JC is always a solid team and their choice of  players in key positions should never be underrated.  Experience counts behind the plate and will not be a problem for JC this season.  The Johnson County teams have players that know fundamentals because of their good feeder programs. Like I said there are many players that could be a top 10 and look forward to watching them all.
