McCracken County @ Mayfield
#1
Even Bowling Green got beat, but who knows.
#2
First running clock game of the series.

McCracken 7
Mayfield 49
#3
No mercy.
#4
I'm thinking :pondering: about my prediction.
#5
Thinking over with. :mop::mop::mop:

Mayfield 56
McCracken County 17
#6
Most definitely Mayfield
#7
Getting closer to the game everyone is wanting to see. #1 in 3a vs #2 in 2a. Looks like both could be undefeated at that time.
#8
Mayfield by 42
#9
Hoping for a win. 1st game I'm taking my Daughter to. If Mayfield loses I'll fell responsible, and won't want to take her again.
#10
Mayfield at this point in time is definitely the best team in far Western Kentucky, I saw them at Tilghman. Just my opinion but they are not the best team Mayfield has ever had.
The line backer/running back is really good just needs to quell his antics, surprised he was not flagged.
#11
I was at the game blue and know the player what antics was he doing i never noticed anything really im serious was he over celebrating ortrash talking or what?
#12
He was probably hitting blue clad players too hard. He does try to pump up the crowd a bit when he gets excited but, certainly nothing over the top.
#13
I'm a neutral guy who goes to what I think is the best game to see, it was antics. I'm not saying to not celebrate a good play, but have seen less called. The refs jus can cover all the field anymore with just 5, game is to fast for mostly older slower refs..
#14
Well, I disagree. But, everyone has their opinions. I say if they are not trash talking a player or pushing, fighting or other things such as that, does it affect the game?
#15
Cal preps has this game on a neutral field as:
Mayfield 52
McCracken Co 13
#16
I'm coming in to watch this game... hoping it was going to be as good as years past, but its not looking that way.

Mayfield: 42
McCracken: 7 (on the JV)
#17
CS, they do have a good back over there. They just won't be able to buy time for him to do anything.
#18
Will the Stangs have the suspended players back for Mayfield?
#19
Yes they will be back
#20
McCracken qualifies for the program taking the fastest steps backward. Just two years ago ppl were predicting some sort of annual dominance in the west, LOL.
#21
They have slidden. You are right on that.
#22
This secondary needs improvement for a title run. Sophomore in his 2nd start, with a make shift line kinda of exposed them. Thinking bout new username: MySonis11.
#23
Actually, I think our secondary is better this year. I think one CB had trouble picking up sweep but, that's fixable. I feel that our line is geared more to stop run up middle with big bodies. We however need that fast penetrator on the line. The lb's also are not filling the holes or doing as well at keeping containment. However, overall the defense is bigger and maybe faster. Certainly fast enough to make up for mistakes. With the offense as potent as it is, they won't have much pressure on them though.
#24
You won't give up 4 passing TDs in a single game the rest of the year. I was just 🐟....😄.
#25
I really feel like our bunch tried to put it on cruise control after scoring 3 times in the 1st quarter. That and having those 2 ints called back for penalties changed their mindset. I think McCracken will start to see some wins though.
#26
Nowhere near the best Mayfield team ever but they are very good. I think football as a whole, especially in WK, is down a bit talent wise this year, and Mayfield isn't. Therefore they look a lot better in comparison to the region. If you go to WPSD gridiron glory top 10 you can see the top players are no where near what they've been in the past. There are kids high on that list that wouldn't have sniffed being on that list in previous years. They should do another top 10 list at the end of they year. I bet you'd see a bunch of changes.
#27
Hold on Ghost. Wait until a week from this Friday. I think you will be singing a different tune. Personally, I think Hopkinsville is close to what they were last year. They are just playing a tougher schedule. I think Christian Co is down a little. I think PT is better than last year. I think McCracken is down a bit due to limited numbers of big play stars. I think they are starting to learn the new system though and are getting better. Remember UC is undefeated since the opener against MHS. I think Murray and Calloway are down. I think Ballard is about the same. Crittendon and Trigg are better. Fort Campbell and Marshall are better. I think these things will start to show once we stop beating up on each other and start taking it to teams further away though.
#28
The other one stood. On the Penalty PF Elijah did get a head slap on the release. Which cause it.
#29
Mayfield by score of 42-20
#30
Did McCracken have any penalties or bonehead mistakes that allowed Mayfield to score or move the ball, or was Mayfield just so good they ran all over McCracken?
