Sideline chain gang desired MVP :mop:
I told the AD when they changed chain crew requirements from Masters degree to just a Bachelors it would be chaos!
Went to this game. McCreary Central shot themselves in the foot early with the interception into the endzone returned deep into their own territory, and a few fumbles (one on the end of a long run where I swear his knee was down first).

Either way, Dunbar just didn't have enough to put them away. 15-0 and then 21-8, they just couldn't go for the jugular. McCreary Central finally got their passing game together to be a threat, QB had great speed escaping the rush on long sweeps to the sidelines to buy time. Running game up the middle was aided by their RB who had two gears. And watching him switch gears was something. Find a hole, and then bam, full speed into it.

Only real complaint watching the game is the scoreboard there doesn't have down and distance most times (never distance), and where the ball was spotted. So most of my notes were guesses where the LOS was for major plays.

Very small stadium. Though, as someone said on another thread about the game, most just stood or sat in chairs along the paved track or down in the endzone areas. So glad game started at 7:30, as the sun just set behind the trees at almost the exact same time. No programs, roster sheets, etc was a bit of a bummer. Also, only merchandise sold was a $15 tee shirt.
In no circumstance should any Mccreary Central team ever beat a Lexington 6A school.

Im not sure what can be done for Dunbar. Several different head coaches, players, etc. and they should be perennial powerhouse. Im not sure what they can do at this point.

The fact that kids can now attend Douglass makes it even more challenging at Dunbar.
