Ought to be a good game Friday night! Hope I get to be in attendance.
Hard to pick this one. If Somerset wants to win this, they have to keep Rock under 20.

This year I have heard from Beech wood we wont be shut down final score 7 to 0 beech wood does win... but only one touchdown... when they was putting up high scores... Then we play Hazard.... our running game wont be shut down but it was... Then we play North Laurel... our running game wont be stopped our line is too big and aggressive.... guess what it was shut down... there ball movement came from passes... Williamsburg running game was shut down.. not saying you cant run against Somerset you can it has happened... our record of shutting down a running game is better than saying we don't.. I wish Rockcastle the best of luck they have a good program... and look forward to watching a hard hitting game...
Somerset is good, no matter how you put it, and you are 100% right. But you forgot to mention Beechwood game was in a hurricane, and Hazards go to guy wen out early. I will say this Rockcastle is not Williamsburg or north laruel

Wrongly ruled ineligible. The boy enrolled the year before. The head coach for SW was quoted as saying he'd quit before he'd let him play at Somerset . An assistant coach was quoted as saying that if he'd have moved to another school that they wouldn't have fought it at all. The judge saw it for what it was and ruled in the kid's favor. He is a 2 sport athelete and his future was put in jeopardy because of a coaches animosity. Pathethic! Leave the child alone. KIDS FIRST!

I like the Bunnies in a close hard hitting game 24 - 21. Last year was a good one at the Rock, with the Jumpers getting turned away on a bad snap and hurried pass for an Int. close to the goal line, with time running out in the 4th..

Yes Somerset did play beech wood in a Hurricane but that was too there advantage Somerset is a passing team.... Hard to pass in high winds and ran... And Hazards main guy didn't get hurt until late in the the 3rd quarter.... and truly didnt have any yards in 3 quarters I agree Rock isn't Williamsburg or North laurel I think they are better than both those teams.... But Rock hasn't faced a defense like Somerset this year.. Should be a good game....

So judging by the comments its Somersets Dline vs Rock's Oline and the winner of that battle will determine the game. Let the big hoggs eat this friday and have a healthy injury free game

kids first, maybe kids should learn there are consquences for leaving a place or transferring. i also heard khsaa has kid on tape saying he was leaving sw for somerset to play sports
maybe the kid put his own future in jepordy

I'm familiar with the situation. My question is this: Why would you be meeting with the KHSAA regarding eligibility that was in question if you had no intention of playing sports? The question is ridiculous "do you plan on participating in football?" Asking this question of a CHILD is coercion; it is a catch 22, if you answer no then why are you meeting with the KHSAA regarding eligibility, if you answer yes you are determined ineligible based on moving for sports. Why else would you be meeting with the KHSAA regarding eligibility if you don't plan on participating in sports? Consequences for transferring regarding what? If a student who participates in no extra curricular or KHSAA sanctioned activities transfers their academic integrity isn't questioned, they are allowed to participate in school freely.
Are you punished for leaving a job? Would you be punished for moving into a new home? This is basically what you are saying. Kids transfer on a daily basis, the actual legal system has placed an injunction on the ruling which tells me that there is something to it. A judge isn't going to sign an injunction on a ruling from a member institution if there isn't sufficient evidence of a case contrary to the initial judgement.

Enough with the eligibility issue, Rock by a touchdown. 27-20.

Where is this quote? I would like to read it. Was anyone present from Somerset at the kids meeting with the KHSAA? From what I was told the kid was left to fend for himself. I also was told the kid was ruled ineligible because of illegal contact from a Somerset coach who had the kid working out in Somersets weight room while still enrolled at SW. Was that putting the kid first or was that using a kids ability to gain an advantage knowing it's illegal and could jeopardize his eligibility?
