I don't think Rock let's this one get away from them and I believe they anchor down and take this one.

Rock 35
Wayne 27

Haven't seen Wayne in action, but we have been up against the rock, and as Rockcastle fans enjoy saying," The ROCK is Hard". Wayne's QB., will have constant pressure from a fierce, hard hitting bunch of head hunters. Rushing yards will be a hard earned bonus if Wayne can muster a running game. Wayne's defense will also have to contend with a Battering Ram of hard rushing backs, who rush down hill, more than east to west. Therefore I'll go with the ROCK 28-14

Wayne County passing attack will be to much for the ROCK .......

Wayne County 42

I find this comically and absurd. You obviously are in for a rude awakening with your 41-6 blowout prediction. We are a very solid team hard hitting and will drag Wayne county through the mud for 4 quarters this game will be very physical. Our rush defense is good our pass defense is much improved held Somerset to little over 100 yards which is what they was known for. We was in the backfield all right so in essentials all the Somerset game did for Rock was get them
more prepared for how Wayne plays with a mobile quaterback. We block with a very strong offensive line and run with 4-5 backs. This will be a great game see you Friday

I ain’t trying to poke at you, but if you read most threads, Willie Turnover typically doesn’t really predict the score. Tries to pick a winner. 41-6 is what he most always says. 😎

Never really follow a whole lot of different threads just ones my team is in or ones they face etc so not real familiar with his persona kinda took it personal I guess try to give as much respect as would want shown to my team.

In no way am I comparing Wayne and Whitley, but they both have outstanding passing games. That being said rock stays in it till late, then plays ball control and moves chains at will. Rock by a touchdown.

Rock runs. Wayne passes. The winner is legit #2 in 4A. Best part is they are likely to tee it up again in November.
#16
This is probably the game I would go watch if I wasn't already at my own game. I imagine their will be physical play enough for 3 or 4 other games, combined. I think Wayne's offense, especially through the air will get the win in a great hard nosed ball game by 2 good teams. Wayne 27 Rock 20

You are right, but the Wayne County quarterback will be much harder to defend.

Going to have to go with Rock on this one they over power Wayne on both sides of the ball.... Rock by 21

Every year Rock fans get on here and chirp about how much more physical Rock is than Wayne.

Every year it's a good matchup with both teams holding their own.

I expect the same this week. ROLL CARDS

Rockcastle County is 4-1 and Wayne County is 5-1, both should have a chip on their shoulder, as Rock won the district and Wayne won the region last year. Everybody understands the Rock is hard and smash-mouth football, but the last FOUR times they've played Wayne has won THREE, so that who's more physical crap Rock can have, I'll take the wins. Should be a good game as Rock is better than many thought this season, but Wayne's only loss was at Boyle, so they aren't too bad either. I hope everybody keeps picking the Rock, but not this guy, give me Wayne County and their SAWFT style of play. Seriously if you think Coach Shawn Thompson's teams aren't physical, number one you're wrong and number two watch some tape. Win, lose, or draw they could very well play again, but Louisville Western might have something to say about it. Pick your team, support your team, but my goodness just cause your team plays a certain style, don't think the other team can't match their physical play. They have played JV-Frosh like 7-8 times with these same classes, might check that record, but I guess Wayne was not physical while winning 6 of 8 of those.

I have seen Wayne Co up close and personal. They had trouble with speed and I'm not sure Rock has any/enough to pose a problem. Rocks D may be tough but it'll come down to Wayne's ability to throw the ball (and QB scramble) vs Rocks ability to wear down the Wayne D.

I think it'll be a close game with the winner taking it by less than a TD.

I know Rocks line is more physical . thats the roughest bunch of rugrats the rock has had in a while. But wayne is physical as well they are a great coached team. And I hope the Rock wins but won't count out wayne . Waynes kryptonite i dont know but i hope the rock coaches has found it

I do not like to play Wayne, anymore, due to their awesome physical play. Our kids just seem to never be prepared, even when we feel we've got our own physical football team. If Rock IS more physical than Wayne, that would be something to see.

Wayne Co. but I think it will be closer than some on here expect

I think it will go down to the wire. both teams seem to be fundamentally sound .

I don't think that anyone who has followed these teams over the last 5 years expects either team to bully the other one around. Both defenses are always physical and relentless. Wayne has a distinct advantage in the passing game. Rock has ran the ball extremely well, aside from against a stout Somerset D still but averaged 4 yards/carry in that one. The records over the last couple of years have been affected by some disasters usually only seen on Commonwealth, AKA Kroger Field but, that is part of the game. The last few meetings have been decided by 2-3 plays either way, and I expect this one to be no different. I hope everyone will show up Friday, cheer on their team then hopefully root for the rematch to see which us gets a chance to dethrone the Eagles.

Wayne is as solid as any football team out there and will be really tough at home. Lorenzo Linsey is a special kind of player, but Wayne has more weapons then just him.But the Rockets Defense has played great the last three games, and I think they are ready. The question is can rock throw enough to open up the run game. This will be a hard fought battle Just like it has been the last couple.

I picked Rock last week 41-6 over Somerset. Cowboy Dad is right I always pick 41-6 as the score and one of these days I am going to get it right. You are correct this should be an evenly contested game so I will change my prediction to 41-6 in overtime. But I gotta go with the cardinals and Stone Cold Thompson in this one. Good Luck to both Teams.
