Beechwood and Paintsville are clear favorites in their sides of the state.

I think Pikeville could go 0-10 and finish in the top 10.

They would at least be close.

Right now it's a 3 horse race, imo. Beechwood clear cut favorite imo. Paintsville has my vote for the top dog in the east. Hazard just doesn't look the same without Smoth after the last few weeks. KCD looks legit to me and could have the opportunity to play spoiler for Beechwood. Hazard is still solid, but I think Raceland has caught up to them with the loss of Smith. Not sold on Ludlow yet.

Only team I could see hanging with them from their slot through 15 is Williamsburg.

Beechwood is #1 until proven otherwise. I'd even put Hazard at 2 even without the Smith boys until proven otherwise. They still have a damn good defense, and I'm sure they will figure something out on offense. Paintsville number 3. The defense has played good all year as expected and we are starting to click on offense.

Brutal schedule on top of replacing an all state caliber QB. Pikeville still has time to get it together and be a tough out. Played Paintsville very very tough. How many teams that are 1A play a schedule with Belfry, Paintsville, Hazard, Lexington Christian as 4 out of first 5 games?
