It's philosophy at Belfry not which class you are in. You have to defend their philosophy so it doesn't matter which year it is. That's my point..Belfry doesn't play you the same way that other running teams do.

We will be right there with ya...Our second biggest concern, tied with the D line, coming into this season was our O line, and they have been awesome. They only start one senior.

Although we have some really good younger replacements we start four seniors on the OL and it will be a priority next season.

Belfry's philosophy is to run all over teams who otherwise think they can stop the run. It's what they do. This season Belfry has the players to do what they always do (run at will on 3A teams).


A title run does end when players graduate, 100% agree with, that's why Boyle fell off when guys like Lamar Dawson were not there. The only problem is Belfry is still chock full of players who are multi-year starters on State Championship teams. Technically their run is still going. Players who have played huge in games that Boyle's youth has never experienced.

With the exception of this Freshman class you do realize that not a single player on this Belfry team knows what it means to lose their final game?

Brother you have a lot to be optimistic about. I have said that several times. Boyle is about to be as strong as they have in a while. With that said, you can't be getting mad about talking in generalities and throw something extra general out like that you think Boyle is suddenly going to be the team to be a bad match-up for Belfry's Offense when there is literally zero evidence that Boyle can back it up.

You can feel confident in your team. You can break down X's and O's,I can respect that. Noone can take exception in believing in your team. Just when someone calls you out on a bold claim and you get all pissed, have some more ammo than some "philosophy" discussion.

Again...don't see how you think the last four year has ANY impact on your ability to beat someone. You have experience. That really helps. But this year you don't have athleticism, pride or expectations on Boyle.

Running games of any sort that can't throw the ball RARELY IF EVER are effective vs Boyle.

Belfry is not a passing team. Boyle will stack the box and play man in the secondary with speed to burn. IMO it's a bad matchup for them.

If you want to say you mis-spoke I am willing to listen, but what this says is you honestly think that Boyle will be able to shut down Belfry's Offense.

No linemen go both ways for Belfry

It is actually hard to define how many Belfry players truly play both ways besides maybe Wellman. Belfry rotates their Halfbacks constantly and according to matchups. Varney, Hunter, and Adkins (by the way a starter two years ago who missed last season and is now back and playing well) technically play both ways.. but obviously those three all rotate at HB.


Belfry's Oline essentially will all return next year as well... a Senior is splitting time with an underclassmen at one spot.
