This should be a good game. Not only do I hope Corbin beats Central but I hope they win it all. Go Hounds.

I'm not a Corbin fan and won't have a fish sandwich so it will take a long time for Corbin to finish Central.

And Corbin running backs donât compare to the speed of Centrals.. with that said Iâm pulling for a mountain team but Central is just to much for Corbin.. Central wins this 48-16
that's not going to happen.

I probably didn't give Central enough credit. Central by three TD's or more. Where is the game at?
11-19-2017, 02:02 AM
Watched games on film of central, cant really tell the speed and athleticism they have compared to watching live. The RB runs downhill and YAC is crazy. Hate to say it but:
Central 42
Corbin 17
Fish sandwiches are really good though.

I'd much rather it would have been a Belfry/Corbin rematch but we just couldn't get it done. But I'm cheering on the Hounds for you buddy. Go get that ring!

I don't know if folks read my posts, or just don't care to believe them, lol, but I already said, Central is bigger than Corbin. Central has some really good size on their lines.

Who's the home team? I'm big into Vegas, if I had to set the lines I'd say if it was at Central, Central -26.5. If it was at Corbin, Central - 23.5. Over under on points, 72.5. Can't wait to watch!!

Corbin QB going have a rough night.. If you control the line, keep a slow pace game Corbin will be alright.. But that line is super fast. Like I said hope Corbin can pull it off..

Central may very well beat Corbin, we will have to play the game to be sure. Central didn’t win any games that they shouldn’t have during regular season, but they didn’t lose any games they shouldn’t have either. They only put up over 40 points 3 times in regular season...all 3 games were against weak teams that they and many others should have put up 40+...the only impressive win I see was against a somewhat “down”, injury riddled Belfry. Corbin lost 1 game they probably shouldn’t have, giving up 36 to a 1A team....also Corbin probably beat a team they shouldn’t have. Both defenses are top notch...I don’t see this being a high scoring game.
Happy to still be playing!

Hopefully zone blocking will help especially if the over penetrate. No huddle should wear them down a little too. I know they prob have a better Dline than our Oline. But I think we might have them beat with depth. Hopefully a mixture of these things compensated for it.

I'm on the Red Hound band wagon now. The Hounds are going to roll the Jackets in Louisville. Let's Go Hounds!

Alcoa,Mayfield, and Beechwood did not blow Corbin out. Central won't, either. I think people are getting a little too emotional about Belfrys loss. Derek Wellman is worth 4tds per game. 2 running the dive, and 2 that he stops from his linebacker spot. No way that happens to Belfry with him healthy.
People forget, Corbin played and beat Central last year. Are you telling me they're suddenly so much better they're going to win by a blowout margin? Central may very well win. But they will not blow Corbin out.

Central - 36
Corbin - 20
Central - 36
Corbin - 20

Central will cause some turnovers, which will be the difference. Central by a TD.
11-19-2017, 03:40 PM
What does central have this year that they didn't have last year? They have some kids transfer in or some star freshmen?
11-19-2017, 04:43 PM
Guys if you havenât watched the central/belfry game you can not go by that score. I have watched it three times. I read where someone said wellman is worth 4 tds. That is true, then belfry gives them short field three times and a scoop on score, plus two extra possessions. The score didnât give the game justice. Belfry had a case of the turnover bug. If your playing at this level and start out only having to go thirty yards for six, you do it. Credit central for capitalizing on mistakes but 4 of there scores didnât have to go but 30 yards max. They totaled 6 extra possessions 6x7=42 points. This game was closer than the score. Now I have been wrong once in my life but Corbin usually doesnât turn ball over, this will limit central.
11-19-2017, 05:23 PM
People are making central out to be world beaters. They either had the game of their lives, belfry was OVERRATED, belfry had a really bad game, or they just quit late in the game. They got beat by St. X by 50 points!!! So Iâm gonna go with they had the game of their lives and belfry didnât show up to play. They also might have been a tad overrated but youâll never get them to say that. Itâs funny how ONE freaking game has changed the perspective of people. Hell we beat Alcoa who hadnât lost a regular season game outside of their rivals in years. You can say theyâre are down but people from TN I know say theyâre still in it and gonna win it. No one is giving us a trophy yet.

I'm telling you guys that, Central has gotten unbelievably better in 1 year. I'm not just one of these on here that is going by the score and updates. I was giving updates at the Belfry/Central game. Turnovers were huge, of course, and Central was causing them. They were hitting so hard, going after the ball so much, not a case of just shaky ball control by Belfry, but big hits and determined kids seeking the turnover. And Central was unstoppable once they got the ball. We can add all these stats of what they didn't do all year, their offense was rolling last Friday night. If they can put that type of game together again, it's a long night for the opposing team. Going to Central the past, 6 years at least once, there was the most fan turnout I'd ever seen for Central. The stands were packed, when usually there is only 20 fans there, and 100 band kids...not that way last week. I'd say they'll turn up, with energy feeding into the kids again this Friday. Not sure we'll make this trip again, or go to Boyle and Etown, but I expect Central to be up for this game as well. I do expect it to be a better game as far as the final score. But in reality, Belfry was right there with Central for a half, then Central's defense cranked up another level, and their offense could not be stopped. I expect Corbin will do better in coverage, and get a little more pressure on the Central QB. Belfry's D line just couldn't get even an ounce of pressure on Central. That may be one of the main differences, Corbin's D line is light, but are taller and quicker than Belfry's.

Corbinâs D will be the best Central has seen all year long. You can bank on that.
