Gotta take GC. Home game, already a game under there belts and Russell a little in disarray GC wins and it’s on Saturday so I’ll be there to check it out.

I’m going to go with Russell in the upset. On paper Greenup looks better but in rivalry games like this you throw all that out. I look for Russell to play an inspired game and surprise the muskies.

Muskies win this one. I can’t see the devils going on the road and pulling this out. The pass defense was suspect against the Burg and lack of identity on offense will doom the devils. Russell keeps it close, but in the end the Muskies will prevail.

For the first time in a while, Greenup comes into this game favored to win. A loss here would set their program’s momentum back. It will be interesting to see how Russell handles the underdog role after 2 lackluster performances in their scrimmages and it will be interesting to see how Greenup handles being the team that should win.

I hope they're sandbagging, but the reality may be different. As much as it pains me to say it, I'll have to go with the musketeers at home.

Russell travels to Greenup County for a huge county rivalry game. Who do you got in the Backyard Brawl?
#15
Greenup County makes school history by winning consecutive games vs Russell for the first time in 44 years.

Ill take the evils in a close one

I would tend to agree with you any other year but after hearing how poorly Russell has scrimmaged and GC having most of their weapons back, I'm going out on a limb and saying GC wins by 2 scores.

I'll borrow from @RAM-A-DEVIL; Musketeers by eleventy billion.

Russell is gonna have to create turnovers. If Greenup wins turnover battle Russell is in big trouble on the scoreboard. A Russell win isn’t impossible but when you can’t even do the basic fundamentals right winning against anyone is highly improbable. Russell’s offensive line couldn’t have blocked a JFL team in last scrimmage.

You are really down on Russell. Are they playing that bad?

Yes. The fundamentals are what win you close games and it’s what keep an underdawg in a game. The Devils fundamentally are very poor right now, and correct me if I wrong but fundamentals are things that are either taught or coached to players! Russell’s offensive lines first step is straight up and they don’t fire off the ball. They look like a bunch of pregnant cattle grazing around the field rather than smoke blowing bulls ready to attack the defense.
