The game is always a good tough game. Wish it didn't involve the extra stuff. Whitley is a hard-nosed bunch and has some good athletes. Teams have to put their big boy britches on to play them. Good luck to you guys. Hope the kids keep believing in themselves, because there is enough talent there to be a successful program. Any time you are headed up this way let me know and I will have Marcella hook you up, Doug.

I just got home from St. Louis/Southern Illinois and was keeping up with some of the Rock/Whitley game from there while watching my coach/son's little high school team win. I was VERY surprised of the outcome after last week's game against Lincoln. Hate it for Whitley and Dougie and Gut. Hope you boys have your team get things back on track. Seems that Rock is like new math...hard to figure out. Must have been a matchup thing where they just matched up better to Whitley and found some heart. When they played Paris the first game, I thought Rock looked rather small....especially on the line. Looks like they found some heart to make them a little bigger. Good luck to both teams on the rest of the year.
Don't throw in the towel on Whitley yet boys, the season's just started.

They look like some people on the sidelines need their hind ends popped with a towel. lol

Lincoln exposed inexperience of young players and some older ones that had very little varsity experience. Got behind and lost focus on doing the little things correctly. HEART has never and will never be lacking. Anyone that has been around Rock football should understand that. Size, speed, numbers, skill may come and go year in and year out, but heart is a constant.
