Wow this is a great win for Midland

Do not know a lot about these schools aside from the rankings on maxpreps. Very good win for CM. Will look to see if injuries or if Huntington may have rested players. Cannot see th losing like this otherwise. But if this is a rivalry anything can happen.

West Virginia's playoff ranking system is basically mathematics that are determined by your record and teams you play. Every game in their regular season matters for seeding, Huntington or anyone else could afford to rest players. It is a system I wish Kentucky would adopt but never will for multiple reasons.

Three variables come into play with this score:

1. Huntington has been dealing with injuries all season

2. This was a rivalry game so that makes an impact

3. Most importantly, Cabell Midland is kind of an odd case. Early in the season they were trying to run a spread Offense. CM is traditionally a power running team so this was a drastic change and they kind of fell flat on their face with it. The Knights have three backs who I am going to bet ends up playing D-1, Vaughn, his younger brother, and a really good looking Sophomore FB. To say their fans were confused with this Offensive change is an understatement.

Midland finally scrapped the spread and went back to what they do best and now the real Midland team is coming forward.
