World Record Question

Is there anywhere to find out if anybody else has ever snapped the wires that wired their mouth shut? The nurses and doctors said they had never heard of anyone, they thought it was impossible. Be cool to have a world record

How do you know?? Do they wire the mouth shut very loosely now? Was the metal they used for me not strong? Did the nurses and doctors just work at hospitals with weak people and had where they studied medicine just not had a lot of knowledge about medical history??

I don't know for sure, but out of 295 Million people in the United States I'd say it's been done before...And just because of one isolated incident with those doctors and nurses doesn't mean other ones haven't heard of it...

I wouldnt get mad about it if I was you, I was just saying it's probably been done before... Smile

Not to sound hostile, but how much do you know about the situation to assume that it couldn't be just a rare and unusual occurence?

Check their web site....they have a section where you can report records that you think you have. Give that a shot.

I didn't see that part, I only saw the part where you can search their records, which I did, but I wasn't sure how it would be worded. Thanks:Thumbs:

The first thing you need to do is to tell us what record you're interested in breaking. Do this by filling in the form found in the Make a Record Attempt section of the website.

If you tell us that you want to break an existing record we'll send you the current record details and the relevant rules and guidelines for you to follow when you attempt to break that record.

If you wish to try something that hasnât been done before or have already attempted a potential record then we'll need to pass your suggestion on to our research department first. They'll decide if it's something that we're interested in establishing as a new record category. If we are, they'll draw up the necessary guidelines and send them to you. If not, we can always suggest other records that you may wish to attempt.

Saying I have to fill out a bunch of forms, which I did, then fill out a bunch more, have them mail me something, which I have to fill out and mail back, so I just said screw it

Maybe I will sometime, but I'm not motivated enough at the moment, especially since alfus knows so much about medical histories and said it's been done many, many times before

BFritz you need to calm down..I'm just saying if people in the world swallow swords, and crazy stuff like that then I'd be willing to bet that this "accomplishment" of yours has been done before...

Besides, how is it a record? A record is something that can be broken in some way or another, so how is breaking the wire in your jaw a record? Did you do it record time....How would anybody have a chance to break your record? It could'nt be, therefore it's not a record...

You should contact Ripley's Believe or Not, because that is more of what it would be suited for had it not been done before...
