Sometimes itâs just the cards your dealt, you know life lessons and such. Iâd bet Boyle Co comes out next year with a totally different type focus I seen it from our seniors this year.
That makes sense what your are saying. I guess what I still don't understand is why a family member would publicly bash the coaches on social media if they knew he was hurt. The way it looks is that they didn't feel he was hurt and that the coaches chose to not play him on offense. I don't know that any kids in the 2020 class have more offers than him and the big names that he has. Something just doesn't add up with all of this.

1.Boyle Co.
2.Johnson Central
3.Franklin-Simpson
4.Louisville Central
5.Corbin
6.Anderson Co.
7.Lexington Catholic
8.Wayne Co.
9.Knox Co.
10.Franklin Co.
If I am right, that would make the state finals... Boyle vs. Franklin-Simpson? Not 100% sure who plays who with the districts anymore.

Madisonville played Franklin Simpson as tough as anyone in 2018 eventually losing 12-10 in the Regional Final at FS. Losing only 9 Seniors from that team and returning a core group of talent should put them somewhere within this list even with the top quality teams joining 4A in 2019.

Madisonville will be the favorite in region 1. They return a great RB in Hightower and many other very good seasoned players.

I believe Franklin-Simpson returns 6 starters on defense with 2 to 3 others that either played key roles and started some games throughout the season. Based on the starters and key contributors on offense in the state game broadcast it looks like they are returning 5 starters on offense. Winning multiple state championships does have a way of bringing more kids out to play as well. They said on the broadcast that the QB was a freshman I think. They will be well coached. I think Franklin-Simpson enjoys how they are always picked behind Johnson Central and now many others. It seems to bring out the best in them. The last 2 seasons message boards have been pretty much like this one when it involves Franklin-Simpson. I pick Boyle County as pre-season #1 and then it's a toss up for the rest of the spots.

Fair post.
It's hard to rank teams preseason. All you really have to go by is how they did the previous year and who they got coming back. Then gauge that against other teams.
It seems other than Boyle and Madisonville...everyone else has taken some heavy losses to graduation.

My 4A favorite right now, Johnson central.

They're good but not as talented as Boyle Co. Why would you rate them ahead of the Rebels?

I know not really fair to base them off of last season because of injuries mentioned earlier etc, but with the new playoffs and the way the east is, you canât afford to âlook aheadâ anymore. Corbin could last year, Central could, Boyle couldnât, but now no one can. And their type of offense and the physicality they bring, I think for one game to game plan for what they bring and their style, coupled with what they having come back I would put them in the top spot.

Their major problem vs Boyle Co will be a lack of speed.

Itâs a game I could see going like Boyleâs game with Belfry last year. Coming down to who wins turnover battle etc. but of course everyone has to make it that far first. All just hypotheticals.

Did not realize the amount of turnover at Corbin Iâm the coaching staff and skill players.

IMO, it is reasonable for BC fans to believe that their team will be one of the top teams in 4A next season, and it is even reasonable for them to believe that they will be favored to win a state title next season...but "overwhelming" favorites? That is an absurd assertion to make on the heels of this season's results. If the Rebels had won a title this season, then such a claim would not have sounded so ridiculous.
I believe.

The problem with the chemistry for Boyle late last season was not parents bashing the coaching staff it was a couple of the players parents bashing each other it went as far as words being exchanged between them in the stands during the late season games, and stuff being put on social media it definitely was a distraction.

The player who's relatives were bashing the coaching staff last year on social media during and immediately after the Corbin game is still on the team and an important player. They directly blamed the coaching staff for lack of carries late in the season. Has that all been forgotten now?

This is a non story. The kid you're referring to (from what I know) was not 100% late in the season due to a knee injury. Therefore it was decided he'd play defense only.

Yes that is what I understood also. That is why I found it odd that his family members were bashing the coaching staff on social media claiming jealousy and everything else for the reason he wasn't getting carries. It seems like if he was hurt the family members would know that more than anybody and wouldn't bash a hall of fame coach for lack of carries.

I have no idea.
But I did hear the bickering in the stands last season and that will not happen next year because the dynamics have changed.

Prepared to be shocked, I wouldnât worry about all 18 just one, Johnson Central is now in your district and is head and shoulders better than any team in your old district by far. Its quite possible that Harlan would have been better off in 5 A itâs highly unlikely youâll ever play in a regional championship under the new alignment.
