I grouped them as schools nearby that have done as much or MORE than Corbin. Not once does it say these schools are average, elite, terrible etc. The ones you have listed have done more. Stop trying to argue with me..
If you disagree with my stance bring up facts to support your statement as opposed to just pretending I said this or that. If you canât further the discussion with factual based evidence and discussion there is no point in me responding because you donât have a counterpoint proving your stance.
Over the past two years Corbin has beaten six teams that were either the defending state champions of their respective class or who went on to win their respective class. Corbin has played and beat multiple teams who have played in state championship games. Why is Corbin as good as most of the programs youâve listed? Because theyâve beaten most of them over the past few years at one point or another. Beechwood, Mayfield, Boyle County, Central, Danville, Alcoa, Pulaski County, Bell County, etc. Now Iâm not saying Corbin is better or worse than those programs, I am saying that the fact that Corbin has beaten them in the past couple years proves that theyâre at or close to the same level.

That don’t make it elite program over the past 30
This all started when a Corbin fan wanted to use the word elite and Trinity in the same sentence as Corbin. Not to mention some others. Very good but not elite.

Youâre right, if you want to only select a certain period of time where you exclude state championships and recent success it isnât an elite program. If you donât include 1991 to 2008 Bell County isnât very good either.

Ok I'll admit it's a stretch to put Corbin with the likes of Trinity but that's not been the point. To simply pick out a few programs that have went to a couple state finals or even won a championship or two and group them with Corbin and say they've done more is ludicrous. Somerset has never won a championship and hasn't been to a title game since 1988, Williamsburg has never won a championship does have two semi appearances recently, Madison Southern, really, they've had one winning season in forever where they went to the semis and they've done as much or more than Corbin in the modern era.:please: I'm almost 50 years old and in that time I can only remember one sub .500 season ONE and it cost a long time coach his job. There's been regional titles (when they meant something) and state semis that are not being taken into account when comparisons are made. You want to say Corbin isn't elite fine but don't group them with teams that just pop in your head and don't truly measure up...If people were doing it to Bell you wouldn't much care for it either.

So we arenât counting Somersetâs 14 win 2009 state runner up season or Madison Southernâs 2017 state runner up season now? Or Williamsburgâs two state runner ups? :lmao:

Alright I missed Somerset forget they were 3A then still doesnât put them on Corbinâs level. As far as Williamsburg and Madison Southern you need to read the post again or some reading comprehension I put that in my post..and no it doesnât put them on Corbinâs level one winning season and a semis appearance does not make Madison Southern a good program when theyâve been historically bad

Ok typo I meant finals for Madison Southern and Williamsburg but still doesnât change what I was implying...

Does anyone know why Corbin canceled the grid with Harlan county the two teams have played in the grid the last couple of years. It sucks because I was really looking forward to seeing both teams.

Because Corbin dropped out of SEKC.

Wouldn't Corbin be in this group?
I say without question they would.
I agree, Corbin has to be mentioned in this group. They haven't got a trophy here lately (yet) but that's all their missing. Been a great program this decade.

And you wouldnât start for either team.
No the real reason is they added scrimmages with a couple powerhouses.
Fredrick Douglas and Henry Clay they seem to be a better fit to help us get ready for our schedule, confidence is climbing high out of Redhound Camp.

There you have it........Henry Clay ,FD powerhouses making Harlan County not good enough for the Corbin gang. Corbin fans this is exactly why most all fans of other schools think you are arrogant a$$e$. Not remembering any lopsided scrimmages in the past with HC and Corbin. Maybe it is an inferior thing with Corbin and Lexington....or your Coach wants all to see him there. Either way Corbin can kiss the a$$ of this eastern Ky school, you will be medicare at best this season.

Henry Clay a powerhouse? FD is just a bit better. Do you follow football in that area? I tend to believe the latter in that Haddix can be seen in Lexington and yes Corbin wants to be a part of Lexington, I have said that for years.
