Ummm I hadn’t looked that closely at the list just the very top few but I believe they did but I’d have to look at the realignment again to be sure..

Its quite possible that Harlan would have been better off in 5 A itâs highly unlikely youâll ever play in a regional championship under the new alignment.Didnât say they were better then Johnson Central because they are not lol

I'm with JerryGarcia there is no way 18 teams are better than Harlan county this year in 4a. HC should have one of the best offensive lines in 4a and return 3 of there 4 leading rushers from last year and return 8 defensive starters back. If HC can stay healthy they should be a very solid team this year.

I donât know about the state, but the district with Knox will be:
Knox
Wayne
Corbin
Lincoln Co
In that order

Yeah because Knox has beaten Corbin so much in football lately :lame:

Football is won upfront and Knox will have the best Oline and Dline in the mountains.. The most accurate QB and TB
They got our best athlete to transfer the last week of the season. Knox had a legitimate shot at beating Corbin last year.

Knox is Corbinâs little brother in every sport. I would give Knox a zero percent to beat corbin next year. Knoxâs best shot was last year and they still got beat by 14 at home. Knox lost all their skill kids and have no one coming up to fill those positions. Graduating a rather large senior class and the players coming through just arenât very good.

I heard Charles Collins moved back to Montgomery County. If that's true, Anderson is not a top 5 team in 4A.

They will still be good but if this is true they are not a Top 5 team, but will still be #2 in the district and Top 10 in 4A.

I have tried to confirm this but I havenât been able to. Seems a rumor at this point. If he stays Anderson is anywhere from #2 to 4, if he leaves they are 6 to 8. Talked to a Montgomery Co coach that said he didnât think he would go there even if he left and talked to an Anderson Co coach that said he thinks he stays. So Iâm not sure about this one. Guess we will see.

With the news of CA Collins leaving Anderson County for Breathitt County, 😊 I have revised my top 10. Anderson still has a top 20 lineman, best DE in Kentucky, solid QB, top 5 ATH at RB, and I assume they will move top receiver to RB also. Kid is an elite athlete. They will be very one dimensional now however.
1) Boyle County
2) Johnson Central
3) Franklin-Simpson
4) Central
5) Anderson County
6) Corbin
7) Madisonville
8) Lex Cath
9) Franklin County
10) Knox Central
10) Harlan County
Number 10 is a tie. With 2 top 30 offensive linemen and some solid running backs Harlan should make some noise this year.

And to think that Boyle Co needed a girls basketball coach earlier this year too? Could have hired Coach Collins and had his son on this loaded Rebels squad. 😳
Oh what could have been....Jackson, Parks, Burton on the line. Collins in the backfield and Cox at TE/LB. 😳
Oh well, I guess we'll just have to settle with what we got now. 😉

Yes....I believe that's correct.
Getting closer to opening day! 4A is gonna be a BEAST. So many quality teams. I look for an upset or two along the way....but by the time post season rolls around, I'm guessing things will shake out.
I still say that until someone knocks Franklin-Simpson off....they open up as the pre-season #1 team in 4A. I said PRE-SEASON. 3 straight trips to Kroger Field....and winning the last 2 championships speaks for itself. I know Preston has to replace a few kids....and they may not hold on to the spot for long...but IMO, they deserve it.

WhomTheBellTolls Wrote:calling it now corbin gets knocked out second round by knox or wayneOk, Ill say that Corbin will play again either Johnson Central or Boyle County for a chance to go to Kroger field again. Wayne is down and Knox will have a returning line and quarterback. But lost as many valuable players a Corbin did. Good luck to Bell, I like to read these post that everyone puts on here and I like to poke fun at others too. But I love good football and I like for kids to settle it on the field with no injuries and having fun. Everyone wants to win. I really don't know who will play who but the districts will play each other. Knox and Corbin will have 2 good games no doubt, but if you say Knox, then I will say Corbin lol. It will be fun to watch and the Redhounds will be underestimated this year with all the talent that was lost last year. Cant wait for the season to start.

I believe I heard the same thing last year about the Hounds, lost their quarterback so forth and so on. Look where they were at the end of the year. Like I my old buddy FoSho said donât take the Hounds lightly

We appreciate it but your wasting your breath the hate for Corbin is strong and real in Fell Co. They think if they can keep Dudley out of the nursing home a couple more years theyâre gonna win the CFB National Championship and the Super Bowl, expectations are looming large, till reality smacks them on the ass again....

Really excited for the season to start!! Wishing all the teams and players a injury free season!! BoyleCo top 10 rankings look pretty good having Harlan county number 10 is about right. Harlan county o line should be very good and i think the defense should be improved from last year. HC needs to find that take it to the house back Matt Brown has the speed if he can stay healthy.

justify having corbin top 5 in 4a, or even justify them having the edge over kc

I understand what your saying about F.S. Just out of respect of what they've done the last 3 years they should be preseason #1. But after the first week, win or lose, make the rankings the they it should be:
1 Boyle County
2 Johnson Central
3 Franklin Simpson
4 Louisville Central
5 Corbin
Like I said, IMO, this is my preseason top 5. But I do think FS needs to be shown some love. They've won 2 of the last 3 4A Championships and I'm not sure they were favored in any of the three championship games. But after the first week of football, fix it. Because, like I said IMO, the Rebels of Boyle County are the clear #1 team in 4A this year. They are absolutely loaded and quite possibly have the next Mr. Football playing for them at WR. They also have a very, very good QB throwing to him that IMO is a top QB in Kentucky. And dont forget about Bartleson, a future Notre Dame Fighting Irish at RB. On defense, they have big Wilson Kelley at DT, one of the best in the state anchoring that tough, stout defense. Boyle County may be one of the 5 best teams in Kentucky regardless of class. I'm just glad they moved to 4A! I had enough of those cats last year! Lol

Bell County vs Knox Central game will tell where they stand lol.
