Justify why they shouldnt be. Not trying to start anything, just curious because I do have them at #5 myself. I understand, they lost alot. But they still have a lot of talent coming back and one of the best young coaches walking the sidelines. Like I said, not calling you out. Would just like to know why you dont have them that high.

looking at them head to head with kc .. corbin lost qb who was also best runner, top wr, two ol, starting interior dl, both lbs, all of secondary. imo theyre gonna struggle this year and be a year or two away from making any noise in 4a
knox lost their skill position kids at wr and secondary but return their qb, two rbs, and their whole line minus one
wayne also returns quite a bit from a team that was very young and had a lot of young starters including their qb
a good game qb can take a team a long way in big time games .. hence estep last year .. knox had corbin tied up last year in the fourth before losing .. think corbin loses way more than knox and corbin loses kids at more valuable positions

Maybe you didnât read my previous post closely it wouldnât matter what I said your hate for Corbin is gonna overshadow what anyone from Corbin says. You all said the same thing last year that Estep couldnât replace Sizemore to many losses on the defensive side blah blah blah, and we ended up being a better team than the previous year. I do think Corbin takes a step back from last year but thereâs still a whole lot of talent thatâs just a year away from seeing us right back at Kroger field. Thatâs fine though you can talk trash all this preseason too and disappear again just like you did last year after we spanked that ass the second time...

Definitely see your point brother. No doubt the Hounds lost a ton. Can't wait to see how it all unfolds. Good luck to Corbin, Knox, Wayne, and everyone else in 4A. Should be a great year of football in 4A this coming season. Alot of new teams.

not to mention losing greer .. to get to kroger field the last two years it was a cake walk to the semiâs for corbin (we were very young and weak last year) .. if you donât get the 1 seed in corbins district you are looking at a dog fight every single round .. single shot canât talk football just wants to be the stereotypical arrogant corbin fan .. appreciate good football conversation

Definitely a tough district. As far as the other stuff, I'm not getting in the middle of that. I try to say positive things about every team, because they are just kids. I'll never say anything negative about a young man, just not the way I am. As far as other posters, I try to be as friendly and respectful as I can. If I'm talking/debating with someone and it starts turning in a negative way, I'll just stop. But I have been known to say some things I shouldn't, but for the most part I try to be positive to everyone. But anyway, like I said, cant wait for the season to start. Good luck to all these kids on every team. Should be a great year of Kentucky high school football.

I still think Anderson is better than Corbin and probably Central. Those 3 are very close for that 4-6 ranking. I am totally non biased and I believe Franklin and Madisonville are both better than Knox. We will see how it all plays out. I ranked 11 teams and honestly any of the 11 could catch some breaks and win it all. I still think Boyle is favored and ahead of everyone else but Johnson and FS are close enough.

There is no way "any of the top 11 could catch some breaks and win it all". That is proposterous. It's very politically correct however. Lol

I see Corbin is a hot topic lol, I think they are going to be just fine this year, hurry up season, can’t wait!

If your a true fan and supporter of your program your gonna say that theyâve got a shot at winning it all. I think Corbin can win it all and I understand who weâll have to play to get there and thereâs a chance that we get beat. That being said whoever beats us will have to show up to play cause I promise no matter what our kids will play to the last whistle and thatâs all you can really ask from them, as long as they do that Iâm pulling for them no matter who we play...

Anderson still has a top 20 lineman, best DE in Kentucky, solid QB, top 5 ATH at RB, and I assume they will move top receiver to RB also. Kid is an elite athlete. They will be very one dimensional now however.
1) Boyle County
2) Johnson Central
3) Franklin-Simpson
4) Central
5) Anderson County
6) Corbin
7) Madisonville
8) Lex Cath
9) Franklin County
10) Knox Central
10) Harlan County
Number 10 is a tie. With 2 top 30 offensive linemen and some solid running backs Harlan should make some noise this year.
One of those two HCHS lineman doesn't play football anymore. The Bears still have a lot of players back though and should be a top 10 team, or at least very close to it.

Burkhart quit?
06-24-2019, 01:41 AM
He's had shoulder issues and isn't playing, last I heard.
06-24-2019, 02:36 AM
He has been injured the past 2 seasons only played 7 quarters of football last year. He could of helped if he could stay healthy but harlan county o line will be fine without him they have some big mountain boys this year with alot of experience. If the team can stay healthy HC should be solid this year.

Sad. He was the best lineman in Kentucky his 7th grade year. Stuff happens and there is more to life than football. Wish the kid well.

They got our best athlete to transfer the last week of the season. Knox had a legitimate shot at beating Corbin last year.

This is a very bad opinion. You must not be familiar with these teams. Boyle and Johnson Central are the favorites. Franklin-Simpson is given the benefit of the doubt from history but their roster is very depleted. After that there are a few teams that could win it all. Corbin and Anderson are 2 of those. Let me give you a run down of some of the strengths each bring into the season.
Corbin:
1) They have a large roster and a great strength program.
2) Ethan Wine is a top 5 DE in KY and a sack artist.
3) Logan Smith is a top 10 OL in KY and will anchor a line that will be young but big and strong.
4) Treyveon Longmire is game changing type athlete. He has the ability to score on any given possession. With the defense Corbin has, this is a difference maker.
5) Coaching-Like it or not, they have a stellar coaching staff and school support that breeds winning.
Anderson County:
1) They have the very best DE in Kentucky and itâs not close. Darion Dearinger is almost unblockable.
2) They have a top 20 OL Ryan Stratton, who is 6â6 350 and is agile and fast. He anchors an Oline that will be one of the best in the state outside of Douglass.
3) Zach Labhart is one of the best athletes in Kentucky. He is a baseball kid and isnât well known to the football world but he had 108 yards and 3 touchdowns in his one full game last year and 42 yards and a TD on his only play from his second game. I watched him in their scrimmage with Bell Co last year and he would have had over 200 yards rushing. He is 6â 2 215 and fast.
4) Anderson returns every starter except 4 from last years team. Yes one of those is CA Collins but getting Labhart back is almost a wash if not a tiny upgrade. They went 10-0 last year and should have beat Highlands by 30. I was at that game and anyone honest could see Anderson was a far better team.
So what I am saying is 4A is the toughest class in KY in 2019. Yes I feel like we will win. I also feel like there are a legitimate 5-6 teams that have a shot. Corbin and Anderson are 2 of those 6.
I just realized I spent a lot of thought into defending teams that are my enemies. IDK?

I donât know if I consider Boyle an enemy more like a quality opponent but kind of like Belfry I could see myself pulling for them if they arenât playing the Hounds. Iâm honest enough to admit weâre gonna have some bumps and bruises early on and that just comes from the brutal schedule Haddix consistently engineers and having to break in some new players. Also Tommy Greer isnât going to be easy to replace, I donât know very many DCâs who could have put together the game he coached against Boyle last season but I digress hopefully weâre seeing each other a week sooner this year, good luck ,wishing Boyle an injury free season...

Do you think Corbin can overcome the loss of the coaches and the quarterback to get back to Kroger Field? Who is the quarterback?

Cole Shelton is the man unless his uncle Brett Favre comes out of retirement. Tuff as nails and got a cannon for a arm. Looks like a train when he runs. 9 players benching over 300lbs. Saw it with my own eyes. Got a x factor in the middle is what I call him on the line D line and O line. Scared me to watch, lol. Cant say anymore but they are ready. Oh yeah, want have to worry about reminding anyone about how far they make it. Might have to figure out how to stop the Redhound xpress once it gets going. Good luck everyone, cant wait, hurry up season.
