Raceland @ Rowan Co. 9/6
#31
Unless there's some major improvement Raceland will lose this game. Rams have no run or pass blocking. The only offense they've had was scrambling yards by the QB, and throwing on the run.

I will take the rams 20-13 Rowan I am sure has improved and are run D didn't improve over night but still have lots of kids wanting to win

Rams will win because they want to, BuckeyeRam has spoken. I guess they didn't want to win their first two games.

Salmons has finally won you over

I never thought that this game would become an important one. But fir the morale and mindset of this group of boys, it really is. I know alot of us are disheartened over the whipping we took at the hands of Russell. But a 2+ TD win over Rowan would be a big boost for these kids. I've sulked, I've mourned, I've vented, I'm done. Onward and upward. The Rams need a rebound win in a bad way and I think they will go out and get it.

Winning always solves lots of problems or hides them

You may have to come to grips with the fact that your Rams aren't that good this yr. It happens. Most programs go through it,

I don't see them winning, no matter the scheme. Something that really bugs me is the fact that the running back situation is in such flux. It's almost as if Salmons didn't realize that his starting running backs from a year ago graduated. Seems like that would've been a priority to sort out on day one of the off season.

You know I like getting on here and aggravating people , but I’m being completely honest when I say you have a person close to the program that said and I quote this years running backs are a lot better than last years so maybe salmons felt the same way and was just dead wrong

Well I said that 5-5 regular season wasnt out of the question. Tbh, I expected us to have given up around 50 points in the first 2 games. I didnt expect us however, to have only scored 17. I expected us to struggle against the run and have some growing pains in our own run game. I just figured we would put up enough points to make up the difference. Heighton was 3 of 3 for 60 yards against Russell when he went out. Now, I really dont think it would have won us the game, but we are all having a different conversation right now if the final is 41-25 and not a 41-0 shut out. But, I've watched Paintsville take huge losses to Pikeville and turn it around in the playoffs. I've watched Us beat the breaks off Pikeville in the regular season and lose to them in the playoffs in OT. I think the Belfry scrimmage and the complete domination if a 5A Montgomery Co team gave us a false sense of security.

No doubt that if Heighton doesn't get hurt it's a bit of a different conversation. He, along with Lewis and Cox were the relied upon offense until the running game gelled, he's gone, now what.

I still say the line on both sides of the ball is playing as soft as any line I ever watched play at Raceland. Salmons will truly earn his money this year.

Mike has been the beneficiary of some really good talent since he’s taken over the head coaching job from TJ . Mike is a bully and a terrible coach he’s the main problem until he’s gone this is what the Rams will look like

Raceland has always had bad years here and there! They had them before Mike was coach and they will have them long after he’s gone! It’s football! We are always quick to blame the coaches for what we see on the field...I’m the worlds worst...but some of it had to go on the kids for lack of experience and execution and effort.Lets set back and see if the kids can get better.

Whoever said that is delusional. Adkins & Lacks were good backs who started two & three years respectively.

Every team has up and downs , I feel everyone knew this team was going to be a little down as far back as middle school but I don’t blame the kids at all , you don’t have to like your coach to play hard for him but you do have to respect him and IMO mike don’t have any respect from kids because of the way he treats them

Rowan has looked pretty good this year. Should be a good game.

A lot of close predictions on here, i’ve seen Rowan county play. Raceland by 21. Not enough vikings on the ship

But have you seen Raceland play?? Don’t give this game away on the reputation of the the Rams cause this isn’t a typical Raceland team! They have a long ways to go but I know the kids are still fighting to get there!
