Final Injury Report...
For Alter I've heard the DB (Harper Mitchell #24) and the star WR (Sam McClanahan #89) are inactive. But also saw that their starting tight-end (Joe Manfre #88) did not fully suit up on Wednesday. It might just be a precaution but for anyone who doesn't know Alter, that is a HUGE loss if #88 cannot suit up Friday... the kid has some interest from some big time programs (Pitt seems to be pursuing him pretty heavily)
For Belfry I'm hearing that there are 1 or 2 o-lineman on the PUP list for the week. They will have the QB returning though.
My biggest question mark is surrounding that QB position for Belfry. Will the previous starter reclaim his throne as starter or will the backup who led them to a 2-0 record hold his spot?

Belfry only has one O-lineman whose not going to play. Logan McCoy will play. He is banged up a little and in pain but he's going to give it a go. Kid is all heart and toughness. Having one O-Line starter out hurts us bad, having two out would really cripple us. Unless the coaches make a game time decision and decide to pull McCoy from the lineup, he's playing.
As for the QB situation, there is none. Brett Coleman is our QB1, not even a debate. The young man that filled in the first two games did one helluva job. He did what he was ask to do. Run our offense and get two wins, and he did exactly that. He may eventually get there but he's not even close to being able to do what Coleman can do with our offense behind center. Brett Coleman is one of the best all around players on our team.
As far as I know, other than the one O-Lineman and one of our DE's whose probably out all year with a broken arm, the rest of the Pirates will play. Some are bruised and banged up but their playing.

Coach Haywood is a class act and runs a great program. I would love to see them come home with a victory. However, Alter has the advantage, imo. They play in the rugged GCL conference and their schedule is much tougher than Belfry's. There's no District games, mostly other Cincinnati and Dayton area Catholic private schools, with a few out of conference games thrown in. The bus ride is at least 5 hours. Although Belfry will surely have a following there, they will definitely be in a hostile environment. This will certainly be a tough one for the Pirates.

Well....honestly, weâve not seen Belfry at full strength since July 19th.....and we still wonât tonight. Sounds like both teams have some key players out of the lineup. That being said....most astute Belfry followers realize that the Pirates are a decided underdog in this game.....and weâve known it since it popped on the schedule. Win or lose, Belfry will bring all they have. However....I donât think itâs fair to say Belfryâs overrated. Overrated compared to what? Statewide....Belfry is ranked in the top 25. If Alter was a KY school....they would probably be somewhere between 5-10..... Believe me, whoever wins will have earned it. But Alter is a decided favorite.

Believe me.....the O-Lineman thatâs out wants to play. But the final decision rested with the coaching staff. They decided to hold him out.

Lol. Let's be real for a second. It is Kentucky football. It's not that hard to win down there in the mountains.

I will continue to say that the lack of diversity the team has will lead to their downfall. Why is any great nation great? BECAUSE OF DIVERSITY. I can only think of one country that tried to make everyone look alike. Ever heard of the Third Reich? Not saying Haywood is Hitler, but there are an uncanny amount of resemblances between the two dictators. I bet most of those kids don't even want to play football there, they are just scared to speak out for fear of what those poor coal-mining men will do to them. When you work 9-5 and make $20 a day, they need something to take that pent up anger out on and their kids are a safe target. Alter 100 Belfry 3. Best wishes to both teams
Well, you've just won the Stupidest Post of the Year Award.
It's amazing how many immature people think they're brilliant when they get online. Pretty sad. And old.

Granny....I think gowildcat needs to be gone as well. Yesterday it was a terribly derogatory comment made towards the "King of Kings"...and then today they compare Philip Haywood to Adolf Hitler. Even in jest....those are uncalled for.
I know the post was deleted....but even being posted is in violation of board rules

I think it is safe to say two fans from Kettering Alter have absolutely destroyed that schools image for many of us on Bluegrass Rivals. While I'm sure their behavior isn't characteristic of the school as a whole, they have not helped the school's image. I hope Belfry has a different experience with their program during the game.

Just a question. Do out of state games figure in the new playoff seeding system for Ky
09-13-2019, 11:03 PM
I guess Iâm asking does it have no bearing or is it figured in just like an in state game

STIFFY Wrote:I guess Iâm asking does it have no bearing or is it figured in just like an in state game
It does have a bearing, but not quite calculate the same.
You get credit for the out of state's team record, just like an in-state team.
Their opponent's win percentage though is calculated s 5-5 up and down. This could be good or bad. In the case of Alter, who plays a bunch of good teams, this means it will not truly be representative as if they were a KY team.

Thanks EKU still a pretty fuzzy system to try and figure out
