Caldwell moving the ball well again and just hit a big pass all the way to the Mayfield 3, 1st and goal, Tigers.. Next play, they take it in, PAT good... We're all tied up at 7..
On a big 3rd and 5 from the Tiger 35, Stinson hits Perry for a touchdown... PAT is good.. With 40 secs. left in 1st qtr., Mayfield retakes the lead 14-7.
After a pickup of 6 and an offside penalty on Caldwell for another 1st down, Stinson hits Perry again for another TD from 36 yards out.. PAT is good... The Cardinals extend lead to 21-7..
The Cardinal defense steps up this series after a Tiger gain of 1, an incomplete pass and then a sack, they forced a punt that was shanked and Mayfield takes over at the Tiger 38.
After a 4 yard loss, Stinson hits Neely for a 19 yard touchdown strike... That makes 4 possessions, 4 touchdowns... PAT was no good this time... So, with 7:45 to go in 2nd quarter, the Cards go up 27-7..
The Cards finally get good coverage and stop them at the 20.. It was also aided by a Tiger holding penalty, so they start this series 1st and 10 at there own 9..
Caldwell has it 4th and 3 at the Cardinal 43 and they call a timeout.. Down by 3 scores, they really have no choice but to go for it.. There D isn't stopping the Mayfield O regardless where they start at, so, really nothing to lose..
Caldwell opts to punt and downs the ball at the 1 yard line.. Unfortunately, 2 plays later, Galbraith takes it 99 yards for another TD.. They went for 2 and made it.. Now it's 35-7 Mayfield with 1:13 to go in the half..
Cade Neely caps off a 5 minute opening 3rd quarter drive with a 9 yard run giving the Cards a 42-7 lead after the PAT was good.. That makes 6 possessions and 6 touchdowns for the game..
Caldwell goes 3 and out on its opening possession of the 2nd half.. Currently, the Tigers have had 7 possessions, scoring once, turning it over on downs twice inside the red zone and now 4 punts, all coming in the last 4 series..
An interesting note, on the Caldwell interception, Stinson took a big hit and was down for quite some time. He didn't come back out on this series, hopefully for precautionary reasons since the games well in hand.
Neely now playing QB for the Cardinals.. And doing a good job as they've moved the ball from there own 23 to the Caldwell 25 where they'll have it 1st and 10 to start the 4th quarter.
