If I’m FSU I would. He knows how to build a program from scratch. FSU isn’t anywhere close to the rebuild UK was and with their rich history Stoops I believe would get them back to relevance!

Stoops would be given the time he needs. Taggart wasn’t a very popular choice from the start and they wanted him gone the day he got there. They love Mark Stoops down there also plus he can recruit in Florida. Make no mistake about it FSU is still a great job to have and people like Stoops and these college coaches don’t go to a place just because it’s less stressful. They accept challenge in their life.

I guess all the Tallahassee news reports were wrong. Stoops said today that he is not a canadidate for the Job.

Carey Murdock of Sooner Scoop spoke with Stoops this morning, who said he was not a candidate for the Florida State job and refuted reports that he was in Tallahassee interviewing for the job on Monday.


“Spoke w/ Bob Stoops this morning,” Murdock said in a tweet. “He tells me the rumors/rports of him being a candidate for the Florida State job opening are not accurate. Says he was at the new Hard Rock Casino all day yesterday and at a Dan Marino Foundation party last night. Not interviewing for FSU job.”
