Don't know about all that but the other day I did see one real nice trophy with 43-0 engraved on it.

You sure do! There isn't one thing that is green or yellow or orange on that picture of a plate you have posted Dougie. LOL:biggrin: Tyrannosaurus Doug! Upon closer examination, there might be some green beans on the back of the plate.
Hopefully this mess will all blow over before season. I just hope we can get everyone through it, especially the old folks.

If kids canât get back in weight room and on field in June thereâs no way to just throw them out there and start practice in July.
03-24-2020, 02:25 AM
They did play football for quite a few years without any weights or very little lifting.

I agree 100% but back then half the population wasnât looking to sue someone.

True. Everyone will be in the same situation though as far as the weights.

While I understand this thought....quite honestly...kids used to do that all the time before we had summer lifting programs. As long as the rules are the same for everyone....it should be fine. I do think for first year coaches, this potential delay makes their job a lot harder. the missed time is a killer

There will not be a football season this fall. No vaccine will be available by then , therefore no kids will be put on playing fields. Playing football would be a lawsuit waiting to happen

Why would a vaccine be needed to play football?

U would allow such close contact with out a proven preventative measure being out their.

I think the two go hand in hand. If they are in school, I think there will be sports.

^Everyone rushing to see who can call off the most stuff. If football is in peril that means school is in peril. Expect any day to see on WYMT at 6am no school in Eastern KY for the 2020-21 school year, except Pikeville Ind and Paintsville Ind...

The next high school sport with fans in the stands will be basketball. No football this season!!!
04-04-2020, 04:10 PM
First let me say this sucks for the fans... but it's heartbreaking for the kids, I hate it, athletes are going to lose scholarships and personal accomplishments that could change their life.
Reality is
Unless a vaccine and successful treatment program is found quickly, it may be years before we see a return to NORMAL. In the scope of life sports is way down on the totem poll.
If what CDC projections are saying, we may not be in full decline mode until mid/late summer, I think administrators nationwide will stand on the safe side and cancel all events that promote being in large crowds and close contact, especially physical contact. I do not believe they will chance a resurgence on this pandemic.
Maybe this is Gods way of hitting the reset button on our lives....Lets all Pray for a vaccine and a return to normal.

I agree with earlier post, until there is a vaccine there will be no sports or at least cleared by CDC and I donât see that without a vaccine.
KHSAA will do anything for the basketball season if it is make it a late spring sports they need that sweet 16 money

I agree 100%, if this situation is prolonged I could see every aspect of the KHSAA changing the way it works, as a matter of fact this down time wold be a great time for a complete reformation of prep sports across the USA. I can think of a few tweaks that cold be implemented.
AAU is a group that will suffer greatly, I do not see those type extra curricular competitions going on this summer at all unless something happens quickly.

Shocked if even school starts without a cure, forget football starting.
