Based on the 4 options for a return to school, there is no way there will be a season. Not even sure why the state is getting peoples hopes up.

What 4 options are these?

In Kentucky we can have hundreds, or possibly thousands of people protesting in Louisville and Lexington, but we can't have high school football. Our Governor is a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We can't have high school football in Kentucky? No state has said 100% that there will be football. People are protesting on their own, although I'm glad they are, the Governor didn't tell them to.

The Governor did tell numerous small business owners they couldn't open their doors due to social distancing, but he doesn't seem to care about the protesting? I don't have a problem with the protest, I have a problem with picking and choosing which rules to enforce. As far as football, if you don't have a problem with the protest, then you shouldn't have a problem with people attending a football game on Friday Night.

Huge difference Cat Daddy, he can't make them stop protesting they are doing it not only in the US its around the world the earth, it's bigger than some virus. I don't agree but he can make business close. As far as playing football I have zero problem with playing football matter of fact I'm scared to death if they don't I might go stir crazy. The Governor like him or not he has to try to protect the kids and Cat Daddy you know for a fact if a kid catches the virus parents will sue and probably win, if the CDC recommends not to play. I'm just praying every night that they get to play.

A simple waiver will take care of that. Parents canât sue if they sign knowing the potential risk.

You are completely misinterpreting what the four options are about, the four options are the contingency plans in case it needs shut down again, it's not you have to do one of these four to go back.

The Governor can't stop them from protesting, but he can stop people from attending church? Both freedom of religion and the right to peaceably assemble fall under the first amendment, so once again, you can't pick and choose which rules to enforce regarding social distancing. Protect the kids?? How many kids have died from Covid -19? Do parents sue the school districts when their kids get sick from the flu or any other type of virus, or illness. It would be impossible to prove where they transmitted the virus from. At the end of the day, it boils down to politics, plain and simple. Hopefully, these kids will be back on the gridiron this fall. It's nothing personal Bull, I just disagree with you on this matter.

Agree to disagree, nothing wrong with that brother, let's just pray we have some football, have to work this school thing out first.

I donât get the âthey will sueâ argument. Kids pass around the flu every year. No one sues. Not sure that is a valid argument.

I personally donât get a lot of the scenarios. Every where I go itâs normal 1st of the month type settings with lines out the door. Every thing about sold out and sales out the roof. I believe football will be a go with not much issues, other than on here, about everyone I have asked that is affiliated with the know crowd has said the same thing, â Were going to playâ

WTF?? Yes, he can condone the activity in which all Liberal outlets have been screaming "Will Kill Us All"!!
Unless it overlaps with another event which is on the agenda.. Then it can wait.. Then they'll fire it back up when needed...

This virus is different we have never seen this in our lifetime, 100,000 deaths in 3 months and no it doesn't seem to affect high school kids much, but when they go home and be around parents and grandparents. The only base that they would have is that the CDC recommends not to play, but let me be clear, I'm with you on this. I just know how some people are.

If people can protest in groups of thousands, go to the lake, pack into Wal-mart like ants i think we can allow our kids to play a sport. Funny thing to me no one could do a funeral or anything but boy have those regulations changed BIG time. Open the country and let the kids play!!
06-14-2020, 04:05 PM
Problem is with packing in Walmart going to a funeral you're not being asked to make physical contact - being in physical contact and exposed to bodily fluids (sweat). With protesting there is no Ky Protesters Association that's sanctioning these events. They're a free for all, if a group of adults went to a field and started playing a tackle football game, I'd guess no one would try and stop them. These are kids and no adult wants to make the call where a large group of kids are exposed to COVID-19 and ends up being responsible for a death of a family member. Just my 2 cents, these numbers being elevated here lately have put the end to sanctioned fall sports in KY is my guess.

The governor says they are spreading the virus when they are protesting her, but if they are protesting a bunch of silly BS she doesn't care.

I think they are allowing conditioning. What I have heard is the fans will be limited due to the COVID regulations.

I was in high hopes for a season. But the news I heard last week from are coaches, doesnât sound promising. But I sure hope we play football.

What I read yesterday indicates there is a big difference in being outside as far as much fewer cases compared to inside.

Businesses and organizations that demand you sign such waivers are just trying to reduce the number of lawsuits that might be filed against them. Their lawyers know that waivers of negligence will not stand up in court.

There will not be season. In every area it not a question of “if” a participant will contract the COVID-19, it is a matter of “when”. No school administration or board in the state of Kentucky will take the risk.

If we donât have highschool football this season, I will blame poor leadership on the president of the United States. :partyhard
