Educators salary is based on contracted days, yet all educators have been working every day since school has been closed just to make sure that there is some form of education going forward. Many are going to be required to teach in class and online and do double the work. Yâall wanna talk down about others but youâre not part of the solution. Just do whatâs necessary and quit worrying about everyone else. You call yourselves conservatives but you act like bigger babies than most liberals.

I believe there will be a season, but only in the terms of there will be some activity. I think it will only be a shell of normalcy. Hate it for the kids, especially those that were hoping to further their career and needed the opportunity of camps and a season this year.

By doing double amount of work they usually do theyâre still at 50 percent of work load of the people whoâs been keeping the economy running since all of this craziness started. Look thereâs some great teachers in our society but for every one great teacher out there, there are five free loaders who do nothing but spread their liberal views on our children and just bleed the system. Their profession on all levels has been saturated with liberalism and just plain old laziness.

I think my posts show that I want sports to start back yesterday, but it's a fantasy to think most educators, especially in Kentucky, are pushing liberal views on anyone. I've been in classrooms for several years and I've heard only two teachers even bring up political issues - one probably leaned to the left, the other leaned heavily to the right. Both are very good teachers. Most teachers are much too busy to get in all the content they need to address to have time for politics.

The NEA and teachers' union is run by leftwing fools, everyone knows this. Common Core is an idiotic disaster, public schools with some exceptions are a disaster, and teachers continue to demand more money and less work. Public education in this country is a disgrace by any measure. There are good teachers to be sure, but the majority are like all other gov't workers paid by the taxpayers, they are dumb and lazy and always want more money for less work.
Where is Beshear at fixing the teachers' pensions? Don't answer it's rhetorical.

You probably complain about coaches making too much money too. Even though they put in more hours than most other professions and make pennies on the hour. Our entire country is nothing but complainers worried about what someone else has. Suck it up buttercup. Learn to be an adult or at least fake it good enough that your cry baby attitude doesnât rub off onto the next generation.

You have to me just totally clueless if you think Iâm a liberal. The past few months Iâve pretty much left no doubt that Iâm a conservative. I have a real job and have worked every single day since the shut down. Iâm not protected by a corrupt union so Iâm part of the workforce that keeps our economy going.

Not a liberal, never have been never will be. With that said I donât define myself by a political party. Iâm a Christian and I live my life by that standard. I just find it amazing by how many people want to whine and complain about everything. Such as you and several others in this site. Itâs life, itâs difficult at times, spend a little more time on your knees praying than a website complaining.

If school employees can make their money and do half the work, wouldn’t that just make them smarter than the average poster on here?

No, it would make them a turd for cheating our children. Education system in this country is already a joke, and you want to pat them on the back for making it worse. They need to work more, not less.
Sorry, idiotic post.

I am not optimistic that there will be anything approaching a normal high school football season anywhere in this country. I agree with those who believe that the sooner that this country returns to normalcy, including reopening schools, and resuming all extracurricular activities, the better.
The problem is that there are many elitists in this country who not only do not want their sons playing football, they do not want anybody's son playing football. Add that to the fact that there is a widespread desire by the media to play a pivotal role in the November elections, and I believe chaos will reign over this fall's football season.
If a team with a small roster is forced to forfeit a game because a few players catch COVID-19, it will make national news. If a single player having COVID-19 dies from any cause, it will be national news. If one parent sues a school district because their son became ill or dies from COVID-19, who also played football, there will be calls from coast to coast to cancel the rest of the season. If a coach is accused of not strictly following social distancing guidelines during a practice or a game, there will be very public demands that he be fired.
Football coaches who agree to coach this fall will be rolling the dice with their careers. They should be commended for their courage and their efforts to help provide a normal childhood to the students in their communities.

Nothings going anyoneâs way right now. EVERYONE on here wants football in the fall. Some think itâs going to be difficult to happen. So thatâs not what you want to hear. How dare people have a different view.

The Governor like him or not he has to try to protect the kids and Cat Daddy you know for a fact if a kid catches the virus parents will sue and probably win, if the CDC recommends not to play. I'm just praying every night that they get to play.
We all know how he protects kids.

Ok. So I am liberal because I believe in science. You got me there. I ask again based upon what happened this very week with Hazard. They have to suspend football for 14 days. I ask what happens when this happens in season and both teams will have to suspend football. How do we rememedy that, especially if it happens at playoff time. Now I understand this might be a difficult question... But I do think that it is worth exploring.
As far as your personal attacks. Just remember I am a better and quite possibly larger in every way.
Lol. See how childish this sounds. Hurry change topic blame teachers, welfare, people taking a knee, anything but actually addressing a question.
So again, based upon what happened this week and will happen again, how does this situation get handled that both teams would sit 14 days. Could you imagine if your Pikeville or Paintsville playing and have to forfeit and possible forfeit a playoff?
How many people would go off their rocker to be told that their team is disqualified?
Or another scenario lets say the team is fine but has an outbreak in the area do they forfeit home field? I am thinking of Bowling Green in 5A or Knox County 3A?
Final point if the THSAA and the OHSAA both cancel the fall sports and KHSAA has it, a kid gets the virus. There will be a lawsuit. Who assumes the responsibility? The coach, school, KHSAA. The guidelines set at the federal level (CDC) were not followed (6 ft apart). The only state organizations saw that and did not have the fall sports. However, KHSAA did, the school participated, and the coach was the acting responsible official.
Not the sky is falling just questions that need to be answered, in fact on the last question it could get interesting.
