last week he was going to Ballard. Kid is a mental head case, sad deal. wish him nothing but the best, but FC has 3-4 RB's better and more reliable ahead of him now.

He does this every year when the 6am sessions start!!!

Not sure what your referring too... Certain kids get mighty uncomfortable when the 6am intensity picks up.. My guess is this young man.. figured out nothing is gonna be given to him... and is chasing attention from other places... Kid rode the Bench a lot last year the games I seen he played mop up time.

I know a few of the rumors have come true, I’m just curious if the athletes have been ruled eligible.

Since SV has been in existence, the two teams have scheduled sporadically through the years with Pikeville, almost sure, coming out on top every game.
Shelby Valley has so far never beaten Pikeville, and before that Virgie never was able to get a win, In the entire history of the school, and that's a long time, and they were district opponents so that played every year. 1989 was widely considered to be the best team they ever had, and they really thought that was their year to beat Pikeville and maybe even have a shot at state, The game was played at Virgie in the pouring rain and flooding, Pikeville wanted to reschedule but Virgie would have none of it, they said they aren't getting out of here that easy, So Pikeville played in ankle deep water. the result....Pikeville won by about 40 as I recall.

Was Pikevilles season much stronger than Valleys this year?
There simply isn’t any comparison between the two.  Pikeville and SV are on different planets when it comes to football.
Historically sure. I agree. However, as far as how THIS season went. Not a lot of difference between the two.
What????    You do realize who Pikeville lost too…..correct?  You saw their schedule….right??    To even mention the two in the same sentence, paragraph or short story is completely laughable.   And not trying to disrespect Valley…..it’s just the plain truth.   That game would have been a bloodbath…..its just that simple.
Pikeville would have running clocked them towards the end of the 2nd quarter.

He tags the staff there in all of his posts, and interactions with college coaches! Hilarious..... you would think the coach maybe would put a stop to it, if nothing there.
I’m hearing that Paintsville’s 2027 Anderson Lauffer is moving to GRC. I’ve heard one of the family members is in the process of accepting a job down that way. Joe Chirico will get his former schools top player and get to coach him. Chirico has coached a lot of Paintsville greats and even though Lauffer has only played 2 seasons of HS Football he already looks like one of the better Receivers in recent time for the Tigers. This would be a huge get for GRC Football as well as for their baseball team too. Expect him to make a impact immediately for both programs.
That’s a bigger loss for Paintsville than it is a gain for GRC. It’s a good pick up for GRC but his impact there at a 6A school wouldn’t be what his impact for a 1A school would be. Kid is a great athelete for sure.

People want to succeed and Pikeville gives you numerous opportunities to do so. That goes for athletics and academics. Therefore, people choose Pikeville…Pikeville doesn’t choose them.

As for Raceland… they have to go out and get people from what I’ve heard. Ashland rejects, Boyd Co bums, etc.

Just what I’ve heard, don’t know how true it is.

First I’ve heard of this, but I don’t see this happening. Highly doubt it.

Not a rumor, but a big loss for Pikeville as they lose 2 sibling lineman that moved to Johnson County and will be playing for the Eagles.
OSH for the win!
I don’t get it but ok lol
It’s become his staple lol…I hope it sticks myself

That being said, I wouldn’t worry too much about Pikeville, they may only have 2 or 3 returning lineman, may have lost their starting RBs, LBs, and QBs, but their 6-8 grade teams are pretty loaded. They just have to bridge the gap this year and maybe the next and they will back to where they usually are. Question is…will anyone in 1A be able to keep up with the Paris Douglas Greyhounds? McPeaks got the ball rolling in another 1A program. Not saying anything is being done that’s sketchy…it’s all on the up and up per the rules. If Paris gets the kids they are supposedly getting, Paris will be deep in the playoffs as a contender.

Paris will be absolutely loaded. They are getting more come next month. And this will be athletes, guys who can flat out play, especially against 1A talent pools. These teams like Pikeville and Raceland aren't going to be able to just run it up the middle and play a base defense and beat Paris this year. Paris offense will be fast and able to attack you through the air and on the ground if what I am hearing is true. Legit could be playing at Kroger in December.

Last count I've seen of this 8th grade group coming in as Freshmen was 22. That is if all continue to play in the varsity. That 8th grade team as many know won the State championship last fall and was unbeaten. Should be scary good when its their turn. I think most agree it should be a bridge year though with a huge loss to graduation. Jmo.

They will be where they usually are this year.

Yeah, don’t worry about Pikeville. They lost everything. Cupboard bare.
I don’t worry about Pikeville nor should anyone one associated with that program. The reason being is, everything I stated had to do with their cupboard NOT being bare and that they may have to bridge the gap a little this year and next, but that 8th grade group is big in numbers and extremely mature and very talented. And let’s be honest here…it’s not hard to truly be a contender in 1A anymore.

In the last 5 years, Raceland and or Pikeville have been playing the last weekend of the season. 3 or those 5 years they both were. Give Sayre credit where it is due, they won it last year when no one thought they could. But it’s still hard for me to pick against some sort of involvement of Raceland and Pikeville in the title game. Paris may be good enough this year, Cville and KCD return a ton respectively. Sayre loses a lot but could end up picking up anyone at anytime that makes them a contender. That being said, Raceland returns almost the house and imo, Pikeville will be very tough to deal with by the playoffs a lot of positions being filled by some under the radar kids down there that are extremely talented. So I still have to say it’s the Rams and Panthers world in 1A just for the shear fact of their consistency in the last decade. Been a long time since both of them haven’t made it past the semis…

In other NEKY news…I hear Assland has picked up a pretty good QB. Idk much about him other than a lot of the talk is he is a D1 talent. Also heard they got a very talented young RB that will only be a freshman, but has a lot of skill.
University of Kentucky 3* commit, DJ Hunter, has found his third school in three years(shitter's full). He started out in Mississippi, then to Beardon in Tennessee and now he's headed to Georgia to play for the Buford Wolves. Maybe his senior season he will wind up somewhere in Kentucky and make it four schools in four states in four years(shitter's overflowing).
