Knox loses three starters, I think. Harlan loses three starters. Bell loses its best guard and two top subs. Knox may pass them up, and possibly Whitley, but I can't see anyone else. I will probably pick them second.

Its all relative to how things shake out at Whitley and how many(if any) they lose to the portal and where they go. But in my estimation SL will be the cream next year(provided one of their younguns don't go to Sacred Heart which I've heard has called). Whitley has the best bigs by far.

I could see it being a Whitley/ South match up for both district championship and possibly region championship if both teams keep everyone.

I can see it for district, that’s almost a lock. But their guard play is not very good especially for a 3 game stretch at the arena. They tend to fold quickly under any kind of pressure

I saw that last year in a loss at Harlan County. They looked dominant at times and then struggled down the stretch.

That’s true. Doesn’t look like it’s going to matter now. Heard today one of the ones rumored to be transferring has been working out in a Corbin gym. The other seems to be a lock to south. It’s sad. Whitley has had all the pieces to have a region winning program but they can’t seem to keep them together.

Yep the one to Corbin nearly went last summer but was talked out of it by Siler. No talking out this time per family. If the South move happens it will make them at minimum a top 10 team in state as that is the only piece they lack.

It honestly has to be these two. Corbin has picked up a couple of big additions from the Whitley debacle but the have little guard play and Knox only has guard play. North and South both have their weaknesses but their strengths far outweigh anyone else in the region

True on those two being at the top. Knox seems to be a solid third. Maybe Corbin if they add the two in question.

I don't think the sisters have enrolled but all of Corbins players are saying it and they haven't been playing summer ball with WC. Honestly I don't feel Corbin would make the top 5 even with the additions, guard play(or lack of) will be a thorn for them. I'm saying SL, NL, KC, WC(if the other doesn't transfer), and Clay. Huge dropoff after the top 2, I think that this could be the weakest the 13th has been overall in a long time. Hope I'm wrong but time will tell. Enjoy the rest of summer ball!
