Man how things have changed in football at Paintsville since state championship run they had. They use be a the destination every one wanted to be at. It just how it is now . One year at the top of mountain and next you might be at bottom. Why give Corbin,Pikeville, Belfry, Johnson Central so much credit. They have stayed in top of pecking order in mountains for many years.

Paintsville is no longer getting the recruits from the surrounding area. The pipeline from Prestonsburg and other local schools has dried up. I may be wrong, but I don't see a lot of success for this program in the future. Who knows though, they may open their wallets and the NIL era may take off in the Ville! Only time will tell.

36 players showed up for the first Spring Practice.

That’s not including the baseball players, which is most of the baseball team and a good handful of the top returning players.

Someone mentioned it earlier but in school recruitment has to be priority #1. Paintsville is around and the 7th-8th smallest school in Kentucky that plays football so every single body counts.

Looks like Paintsville has a good core of kids that are giving football a shot. Great work.
