Perry central

Hearing rumblings of another piece of Perry’s football puzzle is about to make his move across town. The word is Chris Neace who’s probably their biggest and best returning lineman is planning to pack up his things and cut the anchor loose as he heads across town to join the bulldogs. Any truth to this that anyone knows?

He Should have stayed at Breathitt! Not always greener on the other side. That be a huge loss for Perry if that is true.

Definitely would. Kids a damn good player. I’d love to see him leave there. He probably should to be honest. Perry’s never going to have anything when it comes to football.

Perry gonna finally be able to stop lying about dropping down to 3a and actually do it with all there kids leaving the burning program lol

Wouldn’t blame him if he did. Learned a lot about our program last season when the coaching staff begged for a running clock, going into a PLAYOFF game, if we got down a couple scores. Embarrassing

Perry Centrals football program is a dumpster fire.. All jokes aside, if you are a good football player in this area, why would you ever consider going to PCC? They will never be able to compete for a title in football in anyones lifetime. It is just not happening. These kids who are tranferring out to Hazard and Breathitt are getting to play 10+ more football games over their careers just in playoff games. I dont know how the problem gets fixed down there either.

Rumor has it through the grapevine, starting quarter back AD Johnson broke a door and caught mono. Heard he’s gonna be out for the season.

We had a good season Kilburn’s junior year for Perry central standards. Won a playoff game and obviously destroyed by the state champs but Perry isn’t that bad. We get some nice transfers in also.

What is the point of bringing "Kilburn" into every Perry Central reference? Maybe if it was Tim Couch it would make some sense, but I don't think anyone else counts time by what grade one kid was in that season.

No you didn’t. You played a trash schedule and got an even weaker team in the playoffs. Then your coach sells you out and has a clause of if we get down by 21 then just let the clock run. Perry’s trash with or without kilburn. That’s just facts.

Mark is a good coach. The problem is parents this day and time. It only takes a couple bad eggs to spoil a dozen and then the dozen is ruined. Then everybody wants leave. When you have a good coach support him

Mark is a fine human who does a great job. I’ve been a bulldog for more than 55 yrs and recently have made the decision to put my support behind the Dores and its 100 percent because of Dixon.

Enjoy those 4-5 win seasons, hearing parents whine and complain constantly, and getting bounced out of the playoffs by 50 every year.

You’re entitled to pull for whoever you want. Go ahead and make plans for thanksgiving. You’ll be free and won’t have to worry about going to support Dixon and the Dores that day.

Guys, you can say what you want about Mark, but at the end of the day if you know anything about football you know this. In class A, there is about 6 or 7 schools in the state who have resources to try and be good. Hazard just happens to be one of those schools. It’s a totally different ball game for PCC. Hazard is nowhere near the level they were under Mark.

I think Mark won PCCs district like 7/8 times while he was at Hazard. He beat LCC, Harlan County, and all the other district games PCC played the same years. Mark had some great years in the Blue and Gold.

Who is going to be the starting qb this year?

With the recent departure of Vince marrow from Ky and Perry still supposedly hasn’t named their offensive coordinator for the upcoming season. Could it be that Chuck Fugate is headed to Lexington to help save the wildcats football program like he’s saved Perry central? That’s the rumor around PerryVille is he’s on to big and brighter things. Thoughts??

He has the same system and staff absinthe had at hazard. The only difference is he doesn’t have the culture and tradition of winning he had at hazard. If he was still at hazard those same people that are leaving would be going there to play for him and talking about what a hell of a coach he is. But now they have a coach that has won a state championship but don’t have the sense to know what they got. Just a bunch of cry baby parents and mental case kids that will probably benefit pcc in the long run if they left.

He’s the captain of the ship. The people leaving have finally saw the light and know that he’s not the savior that he and everyone else proclaimed to be. He could right the wrong a lot by choosing to let some of his coaching staff loose but he won’t. He’d rather choose them over having a successful program. Mark changed once he went to Perry. Money changed him. That’s just fact. He quit caring and those same cry baby parents and mental case kids that you’re talking trash about are to oblivious to see it. He’d better hug their necks because that’s all he’s gonna have left shortly.
