Some would say coach Ratliff choked it away.

Only 1 regional championship under Ratliff since becoming coach at Perry.

Letchers bats were just a little bit hotter

“Some" can say whatever they want, but maybe they should try coaching a team themselves before pointing fingers. Just a thought. Do you ever shut up about Coach Ratliff? It's like your entire existence revolves around hating him. Must be a miserable way to live life.

I thought the winner of the 14th was going to come out of the Perry vs. Estill game?

In my opinion the two best teams made it to the finals. Congratulations to Coach Perkins and LCC. Regardless of your opinion of Ratliff, Perry has been a consistent program. 4 finals in 7 seasons. Some will say but they’ve only won it one time, true but some schools never even make it out of district and will probably never see a regional finals. I think Perkins and Ratliff are at the top of the pile with Combs at Hazard and Howard at Wolfe close behind in the 14th. If you have one of these coaches there’s really not much to complain about. Once again congratulations to LCC

no, but Ratliff’s reached the Finals more. Actually 70% of his career he has been in the finals so far. I’m just saying they are consistent and in the hunt every year.

With 1 title to show for it. Thats not the greatest achievement but hey congratulations to him. Rumor is now that he knows the athletic director job is out the window, he’s looking to take his 70% rate to somewhere else. Hearing that he may be headed west.

Been hearing he could be headed to South Laurel. Also heard George Roger’s Clark. He’d be an excellent hire for any of the two lucky enough to get him. 70% is better than the rest in the 14th.

Been hearing he’s on the hot seat after the choke fest he just put on. I don’t think it’s the fact that anyone’s really trying to get him to come to their school, I just think that Perry is done with him when he most definitely should’ve won this year.

Has Perry ever been a power in softball? Definitely not. I’m sure administration is happy with her performance. If you compare Perry softball to the other sports in the school over the past 5 years, it has definitely been the best program in the school. Wouldn’t you agree?

It’s definitely better than the football program I will admit that. Speaking of which, I’ve been hearing Brody Dixons name thrown around as possibly the new softball coach. I did notice he’s on the staff now. With the recent retirement of Bobby Keith, and Mark more than likely gone since his daughter’s graduating I could see it happening. They always want to keep the Dixons in charge of things and I could fully see that playing out.

Coaching malpractice with the roster Ratliff had to not bunt the ball. That team was built for small ball with their speed throughout the lineup and their baserunning. There were way too many fly balls and strikeouts. But on the other hand who could blame him for swinging for the fence with the way both teams were effortlessly nuking long balls during the region.

I watched all the games on BSN and totally agree with the announcers. I’ve never seen balls travel like that in my 20 years around the sport. Can anyone send me info on their hitting instructors? Like to see grandkids hit like that in a few years

Pencil my 5 year old in when you get in touch with the instructor.

I have never saw so many HRs and Laser Beams in my life. Was some elite hitting going on. Final 4 was something to see.

Letcher must’ve waited all season to decide to hit nukes. Absolutely ripping the cover off the ball. Had the announcers and the crowd all talking about how they were hitting the ball.
