First heard it at the movie theater watching "Pulp Fiction" and was blown away

Posted it earlier(the Ed Sullivan performance), and I agree, Dusty was simply fantastic. Loved her!  She was inducted into the Rock n Roll HOF by Elton John. So, she was probably pretty good.
Sorry I missed that. Not surprised we agree again.
Dusty Springfield was great. So was Buffalo...

Yessss

So was Rick

His show "Working Class DJ" on XM is fantastic

Back end of the Springfield trifecta. Saw Rick at an outdoor concert in Corbin several years ago. He really engaged the audience. While singing this song, threw the mic to a guy in the audience and told him to sing the chorus. The guy sang and Rick playfully told him , "Man, you suck!" The crowd laughed. Rick's a fun show and a good dude.

Saw this guy in Corbin more than a decade ago. Man, does he still  have some pipes. Terrific singer. He sang an acapella version of one of his hits that was amazing.

More Babys , John Waite:

Theme time. I bet you were a Magic Man, back in the day, Jetson:

Terrific band.

The Redhounds were last state champs the year this came out.

Gosh, I miss her. What a beauty! Natural beauty!!!

Love every one of those

and this

I started to post some Rick Springfield, and held back, thinking you guys might find him too ‘teeny bopper.’ Should have known you two would be more discerning than that. And Magic Power is in my all time top ten favorite songs.

Here’s another that makes my top ten, Bullet Bob and the Silver Bullet Band from the early 70s. The guitar work by Drew Abbott is fabulous.

The beautiful and talented Rindy Ross channeling her inner Pat Benatar in the 80's :

"He wants to dream like a young man, with the wisdom of an old man"  is one of my favorite lines from a song. Bob Seger is both heaven and hell for an aging man like myself. I think you and Jet will know what I mean.

More magic:

One of my favorite songs(maybe my favorite) from the decade of the 80's. Exquisite harmonies, incredible songwriting. Doesn't get much better than this. I like this song so much, I named two of my cats after two stars in the Southern Cross--- Mimosa(Mimi) and Imai(Immi).

"So I'm sailing for tomorrow, my dreams are a dying.
And my love is an anchor tied to you, tied with a silver chain.
I have my ship and all her flags are a flying.
She is all that I have left and music is her name..."

CC had such a great voice. See if you can count how many instruments in this song. I can't but it's a lot
