Eastern Pike? Never heard of them. New school? Where are they from?

Eastern pike is from Ohio I believe. They are located in Beaver,Ohio.

Looked a lot better at times this evening. Looked a little rushed and tried to force things in others. Much more enthusiasm tonight though.

Had fun tonight…

Prestonsburg done great… got tired and give up a few TDs to Boyd County, but thought the Blackcats played great.

Raceland folks do a great job hosting!

Having seen Raceland and Pikeville, how do they stack up in the early passing game?
#67
I haven’t seen Pikeville. And having seen Raceland I didn’t get or take a lot out of it. Rotated the entire defensive backfield every two plays. Missed a boatload of interceptions. Ashland looked weak IMO. Pburg looked good from the parts that I watched.

Some of these QB’s are not going to have the time that they had tonight. Portsmouth west had some really good looking kids. Tall and athletic.

Raceland passed the eye test. Those dudes have been in the weight room and they all look like football players. Much like Pikeville.

To me, it’s hard to judge whose passing game might be better. They both do things differently. Both have talented QBs and athletes. I think Hager of Pikeville stood out more to me than anyone Raceland had.

Both programs have teams and coaches they should be proud of.

I agree with the weight room comment. We had a few kids I didn’t recognize over the summer they had changed their bodies so much.

Marushi took things really serious this offseason. I think he will have a huge year!

Just noticing tonight. We are pretty large up front. You don’t find to many 6’7” 290lb linemen on a class a roster. With 6’4” 350 beside him

I’m gonna say Horsley is the 6,4 350 kid. But the other I’m curious.

After looking I see two kids one at 6,7 the other at 6,6. So it could be either one.

He was here last year as a freshmen. Came from North Carolina I believe. Mom is from Russell. Moved back here and enrolled at Raceland. Kid is a mountain.

The other is a sophomore, Grant Stephens. He’s green but has massive potential. Huge wingspan, quick feet, once he has had camp under his belt, he will start coming along. He has already improved leaps and bounds from his freshman year. Especially in the weight room. He was a slow 300-310 last year. Easily dropped 20-30lbs this offseason. I’d say we are around 6-3 270ish avg on the starting OL. The rotational guys and the #2s aren’t small either and have really surprised me with their mobility improvement from a year ago.

Is it Stephen’s or Sanders?

Looks like Maddux Hughes is listed at 6,7.

Sanders. My mistake. Got my grants mixed up! Hughes is also a kid that has changed his body over the offseason. He’s added some weight to his frame, but is another very tall kid.
