Last i heard from my daughter who went to the hospital with some other seniors was that he cant move from the neck down...so pray for him that he does get better...

First of all my prayers go out to both of the LC players that were seriously injured tonight, especially the second who appeared to have a neck or head injury. Maybe someone can give us a better update later.

Now as far as the game goes it was dominated by JC from the start. The score at halftime was 41-0. On the very first play of the second half Shawn Grimm broke a long run for his 3rd of 4th TD to push the score to 48-0. From there on out JC played its freshman and JV and that was when LC got both of its 2 scores and JC added another TD as well.

The run game of JC was exceptional tonight. It was nice to see Chase Richardson in tonight for the first time this season. All the backs did a nice job running while the oline opened the holes. The defense of JC seemed to be a little skeptical in the beginning parts of the game with a bend but dont break attitude.

LC has some very nice athletes and could be the 4th seed of out District 8 in the playoffs if they get some of their players back from injury. Boone Goldsmith looks to be a very good young QB with a good arm.

Congrats Eagles on the win and your first in district and good luck to the Dawgs.

No need for that one so its removed besides JC probably did it for that reason its been happening in sports for years.

I just read that Shannon was OK lets just hope this person know's something we don't . He's a great kid and he loves this game and He loves being part of the Dawg Family . Get well soon #40

I thought last night when i left the game that LC could possibly get the 4 seed out of district 8 for the playoffs but after seeing the way Greenup Co. beat South Point OH last night LC may be on the outside looking in. Good to hear that the kid is okay and i hope that this is valid info and not just hearsay.

Its way to premature to think about winning state when you have 5 regular season games still left on your schedule. Like the enthusiasm and support but their is a team on this side of the state called Fort Thomas Highlands that beat a very good Pulaski Southwestern team tonight 19-14.

it was his pick to win the state...he didnt say they were a shoo in...But congrats Johnson Central, thats a special team that comes around once in awhile, but my thoughts and prayers are with the LC player..

The score was 49-14 in the Higlands/ PSW game. Typo on my part.

Batpuff, are you still questioning JC strength of schedule and how it would hurt this team cause LC played the tougher schedule?

The implication here is obvious. I don't know who you are or who you support, but to imply that players from one team would make a deliberate attempt to injure players from another team is a serious accusation. Sometimes you just aren't as big or strong as the other guy or sometimes a hit lands exactly wrong. Football is very physical and there will always be the possibility of injury. A great player will give all he has on every play and what you perceive as intent to harm may just be a young man caught up in the emotion of the game. The question I have for you is this - "If the injured players had been members of the other team, would you still be so concerned?"

I don't think PC is trying to say anything of that nature. He just asked if the players had the same type of injury. People are saying that there were 2 LC players seriously injured but only one type of injury and person had been talked about in the thread. I'm curious as to what the other injury was myself, as well.

I dont know that severity of the injury, maybe someone alittle closer to the LC program can inform us, but he took a blow to the knee. They took him out on a strecher cause he was unable to walk. Someone had said that he suffered a hype extended knee, which is very painful, but many times you will end up tairing some ligaments in the knee with a hypextention. They also had ice on his knee which leads me to believe he had probably tore a ligament which causes massive swellin in the knee quickly.
