Belfry v Pikeville Prediction and bets

last year the game was a whole lot closer than what the score showed...pikeville if im not mistaken was actually winning the game at the half like 7-6, but 7 total turnovers off fumbled snaps, a couple bad ints, and a botched snap over the punters head (which lead directly to belfrys first score from pikevilles one yard line) cost the panthers in the long run...pikeville moved the ball all day on belfry from 20 to 20 but just couldnt seal the deal...however with the loss of mayo this is another game that could end up being one that goes to the very end.

Wow....all this talk about Pikeville's D being GREAT....looks as if they are getting called out to show what they are made of in this game. Step-up DEFENSE....If you've got it!

Pikeville says this is the year every year that they will beat Belfry. It will be the same outcome Belfry will win this with no trouble.

LOL..shows how much you know of the rivalry here and the strength of these 2 great teams..if belfry wins, it will be a verrryyy close game.

BUT... did Henry Clay have their starters in or their younger players?? Just curious NOT being a smart A**...... Henry Clay is a HUGE school.... WAY larger than anything we have around here locally...

They had their starters in...except for their quarterback and runningback, who went out of the game with injuries..

I think this will be a great game ! But Belfry's coaching staff is too good and I dont think Pikeville's coaching staff dosnt call very good plays but Pikeville comes up with alot of big plays so the Panthers can win but I dont think they have it in them ! But good luck to both teams !

Belfry is a much better team then Pikeville. Belfry has its passing game going now and we now what there running game is. Henry Clay would of scored more if they had there QB and RB in the whole game. GO PIRATES

But they didn't have their QB and RB in the game because of injuries caused by the Pikeville Defense.
Not trying to stir it up but I'm not sure anyone knows truly how good Belfry or Pikeville are yet.
I believe this will be a great game.

Sorry, I disagree on both points.
1) Belfry's "passing game" has "improved" against teams that, as we all know, frankly arent that good. I will be surprised if they pass it 5 times on Pikeville (unless they are down late).

2) Henry Clay's running game was practically non existant against Pikeville, so having their starting RB for the last 5 minutes of the game wouldnt have made any difference. Also, I dont even think the QB went out with an injury, he was put in (I THINK) in order to provide a better running threat from QB.

Having said this, I DONT think that the Pirates will be able to sustain a long drive on Pikeville's D. If they can eliminate the BIG PLAYS then they win no problem...If NOT...it will be a long night.

Sorry to burst your bubble guys, but Pikeville's D isnt a pushover..IMO theyre one of the best in the state...only way Belfry wins is if they THROW as well as run...cuz theres no way theyre going to run it on Pikeville's front 7...

And that my friends is definate bulletin board material. A word of wisdom my friend, never doubt Belfry's ability to run on a good 7 man front. Most of the time they are capable of running on a team's 10 man front. I have a feeling there may be some crow eating after this game is over. It may be Belfry fans or it might be Pikeville's but as it stands today these teams are too evenly matched to make a reliable pick.
