Let me remind you that your talkin to a KID here! Yeah, he may be throwin some comments himself BUT he is a kid!! No need to down the entire team either.. JUST because we don't have 500 kids in the high school and can't dress out 75 on a team doesn't mean these kids don't work just as hard as other teams! Not bashing with my comments either I just feel that being negative about ANY team especially when it's kids your talking too is not good. You I'm sure would feel that same way as well if it were a player from the Pikeville team! EACH kids deserves respect for getting out there every week and bustin their butts! Best of luck to BOTH teams and I hope it is a well called, well played, and clean game!

it may be hard faught but paintsville is no pikeville. and dont count on scoring on friday. especially 22 points on one of the best defenses in 1a. im sure phelps will play hard and thats what i expect from them. but in all seriousness its just not feaseable to say that phelps will win. sorry hornet fans.

pikeville doesnt have 500 students. the football team doesnt dress 75 kids. and if the kid is man enough to dish, he should be man enough to take it as well.

Somebody ought to get ahold of the KID and tell him to knock off the smack talk then.
BTW..Pikeville doesn't have 500 students in their school either nor do they dress out 75(well maybe 75 cheerleaders).
You're right, both teams do deserve respect for putting on the pads and playing hard every week.

Also, I don't believe you will find a Pikeville player on this website...that is not allowed. Besides, when would they have time...practice, homework, etc???

You are nearly right here Old Timer. Pikeville has nearly 100 cheerleaders in grades K-9.

Listen anybody who comes on here and says that 51-22 is a close game deserves what they get. I constantly see on your posts that you are always playing the "numbers" card. If everyone in the Phelps community thinks like you do its no wonder they struggle year in and year out. It appears that you accept mediocrity and are more than willing to come up with an excuse as to why you cant win instead of facing the cold hard truth of how you could win and be competitive. If your kids are constantly told that they cant beat Pikeville because Pikeville has more kids or the even more pathetic excuse that Pikeville "recruits" are just that: pathetic excuses. Instead of giving excuses as why a team beats you all the time why dont you put all that energy into trying to find a way to beat them. I dont blame the kids at phelps nor will I ever but the adults need to quit giving excuses and treat football as somthing other than a pastime till B-ball starts. Belfry is a much bigger school thatn we are but you dont hear us using that as an excuse about losing last friday night.

Has Pikeville played a team yet this year that had less students then them? Pikeville is one of the smallest schools in the area but they still schedule bigger schools and dont use student size ever as an excuse. Even when they played 4A Henry Clay.... just something to think about.

FIRST off... I don't play the number card... WHATEVER you think that is... and secondly, I don't have to MAKE excuses for the kids at Phelps... people like YOU do it for them! BY reading the stuff that is posted (ALWAYS negative) about them! As for the "amount" of kids at PHS.... I bet there are more than 55 in the senior class over there aren't they?? I don't knock ANY child.. and these kids are just that... KIDS... be it from Phelps, Pikeville, Belfry, PC, or SV... it's NOT the kids.. BUT the adults who tear the kids down!!! Kids can sling trash at each other but adults shouldn't throw it back!! THAT was my point!!!!!! I don't condone a losing attitude BUT you play with WHAT you have! PERIOD!!!!!! Your pride can get the best of ya and some of these kids wear it on their sleeve! I only pray that the adults can contain themselves during the game and let the kids be kids and play the game! (HOW is that for some NUMBERS????)
