congrats to this kid...its such an exciting moment in any community when a kid signs any type of scholarship ecspcially when a kid decides to stick in his home state...one again COngrats and make OUR area proud i know you can do it...

If EKU is lookin at Wes Woods, then I figured they would definately be looking at Michael Tackett or Blake Johnson, but I guess not.

Congrats to the boy,, quit complaining about other kids,, enjoy the opportunity that this young man has and be supportive.. Any kid who can go to college and get an education needs to be PRAISED !!!!!!!!

Michael Tackett? Blake Johnson? Who are they? They sound like a bunch of SV possers who can't finish a game and who got dominated by wes woods and the blackcats this year. If blake johnson is #55 (the DE from SV) then hes just big and slow and probably couldn't even play NAIA!

I have personally talked with wes and he tells me that he has verbally commited, and will be signing with EKU in feb., If any of you want to come watch someone sign D1 make a trip to... PRESTONSBURG!!!! HAIL BLACKCATS

I think they were referring to the Michael Tackett and Blake Johnson from Johnson Central (IMO the best LB duo in Eastern Kentucky). Woods was a great player for the Cats last season, but the main thing for him is to go there and take everything in stride. As I've said before, EKU loves boys from the Florida/Georgia area, but I can see him possibly playing by the end of his sophomore year to junior year somewhere.

Yea wes is redshirting next year but should defenitely be starting or at least contending for a starting position by his soph year!

If you haven't heard of these two boys then somethins wrong. Tackett and Johnson are the two LB's from Johnson Central who dominated every team they played this year. By far the best LB duo I have ever seen in high school football, and both will sign somehwere.

didn't wes wear number 81 and 66? he is a damn good player I played against him this year
