Does anyone know there schedule for next season?
Will Thomas be the impact player for the tomcats next season, or will it lean on someone else??/
Any All Area players that should be on the list for next season/:Thumbs:

Thomas will more than likely be the impact player for the Tomcats next year, but they will also have Mahan back at QB and one of the Bonner boys(not sure which one is returning) at the end spot. I do not know what they have coming back on the line though I believe they lose a lot of there linemen though.

They lose all 5 starting lineman and many of their backups. They only return 1 starter on Defense (Thomas), and 3 on Offense (Thomas, Mahan, Ryan Bonner).

I think they will be good.

I think they will have alot of growing together to do but thats the same just about every season!! The line will have to learn to GEL together early in the season in order for their team to be successful! Mahan has grown alot already and i think he will do well next season along with thomas and Bonner(who is having a great season in basketball!). Even with a tougher district i look for them to do pretty well!

An good luck to them.
There line will be replaced by some seniors but mostly juniors. They will have another big line.
But im guessing mahan attends basketball games? and you say he already is growing from the off season, growing in height or muscle ?? could you give me an estimate on his size.

Tomcats should return some good recievers . Johnson, who IMO had the best hands on the team last season, hardly seen playing time at WR. Should be a good one to watch next season
along with Blake McLeod. Daniel Mcdavid, and TE Ryan bonner

Could be possibly play any college football, like EKU,WKU, or DII or anything like that?
Ive heard he doesnt really have the arm, like 40 yards throwing? that true?

Well you've heard wrong because Mahan has a cannon.

Agreed, Mahan has more of a problem of taking some zip off the ball for short and intermediate routes while adding some touch.

Could he throw the "deep ball" better then alot of quarterbacks next year in the state, or not close?
Or around the region/area?

I haven't seen enough QBs around the state to say anything about that, but if he can tune in his accuracy even just a little bit more for next season, he should have the best deep ball in the area, but I'm not sure if Ashland will have a deep threat receiver like they've had the past several years.

They should be pretty good the district is going to be really tough though!
01-19-2007, 01:38 AM
They will also be playing on turf next year if everything goes as planned it may be another year if not but hopefully this next season!
01-19-2007, 01:48 AM
I think turf would loook really nice in putnam stadium!
01-19-2007, 01:51 AM
Yeh me also Im kinda partial to the bermuda after playing on it for so long but turf is needed so that it can be taken care of much easier and so that the team can practice there to keep from tearing up the baseball field or the new softball field i know the money is in place its just a matter of getting it done!

01-20-2007, 03:31 PM
Yeh i agree with you on that!! However I talked to a few people who "SHOULD" know whats going on and they said within the next two seasons putnam will 4sure be turf! I know my workplace "KDMC" donated like 100,000!! haha

I think Mahan has some growing up to do and I don't mean heighth. He needs to step in and take the role of a leader, instead of a silly goof off. The QB is the most noticed and critsized player on the football field. He needs to know the Ins and Outs of the Offense. And instead of going out and trying to make people laugh, Mahan needs to study film and work on reading defenses.

Iono if you know him or not but from what I have seen lately and from talking to his parent he has "grown up" a lot I think he realizes what he needs to do next year! I don't know what you mean by him going out and making ppl laugh!

01-21-2007, 03:52 AM
I do happen to know him, and I have seen him joke around just trying to be the funny guy. Instead of being the "class clown" he needs to be the "team leader."

U play ball with him?
