Paintsville '07

Buckeyex7x Wrote:Reynolds got injured in the 2nd game of the season so u he didnt really have a chance to even watch him. I think he would have been Paintsville best runner that last season he breaks alot of tackles and run very hard. If he is healthy i see him doin a very good job This season. And corey humphrey is better off as a WR he hesitates to mutch to be a RB. Thats why Neamiha (spell check) was the main back when Cantrel was out.

Nehemiah is more athletic than his brother Hans and if he can gain some weight, he could be great.

Reynolds has an attitude. I know he was hurt, but if you want to be good, you have to put in 100%. Deaton could be good, but like Reynolds, he has too much on his mind other than football.

That said, JTA, who we know is a pro at weights, needs to get his kids working! He knows how, so there is no excuse for the Tigers lack of size.

i agree with u 100 %. But if u could see how JTA has got these boys working in the weight room right now then u will know come football season paintsville should be a very good sized football team.

How many varsity players are working out everyday? The players that will be 9-12 next year.
#34
Don't know for sure. But, have seen quite a few kids in the weight room each night.
#35
there is about 15 varsity players at the weight room 4 days a week going at it very hard.
#36
About the Doderer kid, he is a very strong kid, he's just not very big. He needs to bulk up some and get some more upper body strength. He's very quick and very good at breaking tackles and making the defense miss.
#37
i think they be hosting a playoff game next season.

Upper body looks good on players, but for RB's they need to be strong in their legs more than anything.

Who does everyone think will play QB? Will it be Humphrey or Cody Reynolds' little brother Brett who will be a freshman. Brett is about 6-2 and I'd say goes about 200-210 and has a hell of an arm and pretty athletic. I believe I would rather have Humph at receiver.
#40
we know they are not going to win state but they can contend for district.

The Guru Wrote:heard there would be some old faces returning to the gridiron next season. Remains to be seen, but could have helped tremendously last year!

Who?

I've heard J.D. VanHoose will be returning to the gridiron next season, Shane Grimm, Blake Bundy and Justin Stafford. Those are the only one's I have heard. Grimm hasn't played since 8th grade I don't think, if he does play he could possibly be the Tigers QB next season, him or J.D. Stafford played last season but sat out this past season.

I think Grimmy would be a pretty good QB. Deff. has the arm and size for it. May take him a little while to get back in the groove. But, with him being away from the game so long and him playing baseball in the summer. That doesn't give him much time to prepare. Brett also has the size and arm. But, he needs to hit the passing leagues this year and learn to read the deffenses better. With a little time and experience, Brett will be a pretty good QB for the Tigers.

I doubt they will chance their NBA careers for this. I think they would be a great asset for this Tiger team.

I believe that Paintsville will still have a down year next year. 2 years ago they lost a lot in their offense but still had REALLY good seniors for the next year. Now that theyve lost Pugh, Sublett, Cantrell, and Walker...I dont see them doing anything much next season. Nehemiah Dodderer*(ithinkispelleditright), cannot do it alone...Im not sayin they will be an allen central or nething but they will be AVERAGE. As long as they get in the weightroom and their lineman step up next year they will be fine....
#46
I think they will be better this season than last. Hazard has defeated them 3 times since 2000, and they've met 9 times including the 2 meetings they had in 2000 and this past season. Hazard was your typical athletic bunch in that old district. If they can some how formulate a team to win those games after losing a lot of talent from the season before, I don't see any reason why they won't this coming year.

So you are saying that Paintsville's best 2 players for '07 will be sophs?
OK.....if you say so...

Come on man, are you serious.

I'm pretty sure that the Collins kid isn't 6'3. He doesn't even play fullback. He's a lineman.

Could somebody post their schedule for next year?

Oh, the shedule? Coach fat *** ****ing Allen already ****ed that up also. I think that they play the Chicago Bers the first game... Or something equivelant to them. It doesn't matter if Michael Vick is the the QB for the Tigers next season because their coach is a ****ing ignoramous. He might as well coach ****ing hop scotch because he is lazy and his play calling reminds that of a chimpanzee... I would rather a ****ing primate coach football than that moron. They really might not win a game. I think that they may give Allen Central a good game but, probably will lose in quadruple overtime. If someone doesn't take over the football program soon, Paintsville will be a JOKE again...

:popcorn:Hahaha!! I'm just curious, who from SV would want to dog on JTA. I mean I could see one of Paintsville's own doing it or one of ours long before someone from the Valley. So what gives, and what's a shedule?? I'm not saying I agree with you but from what I heard, his play calling did cost Paintsville 3 or 4 ball games last season. Of course, that could just be a few unruly fans, so just remember, The Valley Dweller said it.

I am origanally fro Paintsville... and all I have to say is coach Allen is a dumb ***... He might as well go coach ****in cheerleading because he's a ***** and he loves cock... What a moron! He has scheduled an impossible amount of good teams for this crappy *** discrace of a team to challenge. What a fictional imaginatin of this idiotic moron. He could have the best players ever, and still lose beause he's just that ****ing terrible... As an alumni I am discraced to say a ****ng beta-male primat eis leading our team to a 2-8 season... What a moron please fire this guy before he screws anything else up. COACH ALLEN, YOU WILL NEVER BE A GOOD COACH... NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!

Paintsville has had maybe 5 losing seasons in the past 30 years. After the legendary Walter Brugh stepped down, David LeMaster took over and his worse season was a 1-8 team back in 1996. He also had a losing record during his last season of 2004, but won a Regional Title in 2001. Coach Bill Mike Runyon filled the shoes Burr Head left behind and took that team to the Regional finals. Then after a team that was almost depleted from graduation, Allen gets what was left and done as good as what anyone could have with them. One losing season and this is the kind of response a new coach gets, man its got to be a tough crowd over there now days. If they are acting like this now I wonder what would have been posted on this site way back in the day when Walter Brugh took over for Jim Wheeler, and Wheeler stayed on the staff as an assistant. To say Paintsville football was ever a joke is an overstatement.

Good post BIGBLACK. And Valley Dweller, who the hell are you to be sayin anything about Paintsville and their coach, if not mistaken SV didn't do much against them in the scrimmage last season. Like BIGBLACK said, coach JTA only had like 3-4 starters returnin from the season before and the boys he had to fill the other slots didn't hardly even get ANY playin time the year before. I wouldn't worry about Paintsville's program, I'd worry about my own seeing that SV hasn't had a winnin season in how long, or have they ever.

Hey this is a little far. Coach Allen has put more effort into coaching then a coach ever has in Paintsville history! Sure they went 5-6. Big deal. Coach Allen took the Tigers through a summer camp and summer weights unlike in past years. Allen made his players go through study hall after school to make sure they would be able to play and graduate unlike last year when it was just football. From what I hear the players still have to go to study hall to keep their grades up. This is actually caring about the students and players not just wanting them to make you look good as a coach. In 2005 Paintsville didn't watch their game film, they didn't study other teams, and didn't put much effort into football. I mean who couldn't win 11 games with that team. They should've only lost to JC and New Cath after they beat Somerset. This year they had to go to film study. He can't help it that nobody wants to come out and play football. It was his first year and he will get better as time goes on! Allen will learn from his mistakes and become a better coach because he has a true love for the game of football. So stop with the personal bashes or I suggest you go to PHS and file for his position since you are the guru on the game of football and can lead Paintsville to Louisville!

This is a great post!!!
I will say that I would have done some things differently this past year, diff play calling, diff Defense etc. but i say that about anything!!!LOL
Coach Allen did what he thought was best. Although I didn't understand half of it, I lived with it. Why....because of the little things he did that are huge!! Like the study hall!!! Half the team is still doing it, and the other half is playing other sports.
Good luck Tigers on next season!!

Does anyone know what Paintsville's non-district schedule looks like?
