Who stands the best chance of stopping Russell's home win streak?
#31
So where's all the Tomcat fans???? I figured they'd be all about breaking the streak.

31 games.......................who wants it?

Could this be the longest home win streak in the state?

But they also have Nick Blevins T, Mikey Dillon T, Drew Miller, and now Mickey Brown NG.

i dont see any of these guys being big contributors for the 07 red devils

Ashland will have a good chance at this streak, but the R is a difficult place to get a win!
Welcome to the best site in town! If you need anything, just let me know.

Ashland i do not think will get it, and about returners from Russell, Drew Abrams will be getting looks at at the RB position, the R should remained russell's all of 07 and most of 08 only Ashland looks to challenge them in my eyes
this is kinda off topic but i watched the Red Devils Younger squads the JFL squads and Freshman squads, and the most impressive group of boys i've seen play together was the night in 04 when Jones, Harvey, Foster, Brown, the running backs i'd never heard of and some other kids who i had never heard of played Lawrence and beat them by 2, that was a good squad. but the reason i bring this up, where are those kids, did they just quit working or what, because in my eyes that was a team, they won the Kiwansis Bowl 44-7 if i'm not mistaking

With the new realignment would Russell host Belfry in the Regional Finals or be forced to travel to CAM again?

If Russell hosts then in my opinion, this, will be the best chance for that home winning streak to end.

No it is my understanding that with the new alignment Belfry will host again this. No chance of Belfry messing up the streak in 07. Smile

That's what i thought.. and to be honest I feel this is an injustice to Russell that they will have to travel in the playoffs again.

We did as well but there is nothing we could do about it. At least if we meet again we can get together at your wonderful facility and tailgate again. I had a great time and enjoyed a good game.

Belfry has to win their District first. I think Prestonsburg and Sheldon Clark have something to say about that.

^My bad, Prestonsburg stayed in 2a.

True but I don't think it will matter who we play. I believe that we will have to travel against whoever we play.

Your exactly right Midee1.
All I'm saying is Belfry isn't a lock for their District. I think Dials and Sheldon Clark have the Pirates number in 07. The Cardinals probably should have won both games last year instead of just the 1.
Pressure is on Sheldon Clark though because they will play the reg season match-up at Belfry this year.

But we may be making a trip to Inez in Nov 2007.

Russell 2007 Home Schedule

08/24 - 4A Greenup Co.
09/07 - 3A West Carter (homecoming?)
09/14 - 5A Ashland
10/05 - 3A Lewis Co.
10/12 - 6A Simon Kenton (Senior Night?)

If Russell wins their district they will be hosting the Regional again.

Fleming Co and Breathitt Co could have a shot at breaking the streak in November.

I'd love to hand the Bobcats a loss in the playoffs so they could enjoy their trip back to Jackson the same way Russell did in 2002.

Ashland is always going to tough know matter how good or bad they are just because it is Ashland. Simon Kenton is going to be another very tough match just because they are from Northern KY. So I will say that if we get by Ashland then Simon Kenton is just around the corner. I hope I am wrong but I see the streak ending sometime this year just because of the competition.
