Recruiting news for UK. After Tubby's Departure
#1
As for one of the commited recruits A.J. Stewert. He told CatsPause.com that he's sticking with Kentucky. As for Jai Lucas, he told CP.com that it hurts UK's chances, but there still in the race. Now for Patrick Patterson he says he does change his feelings about UK but he plans on calling Tubby tonight and confront him about it.

For Patrick Patterson's interview about the Tubby departure, heres the link.

I think they'll all wait to see whom we land as coach. Who knows if we land the right one that is able to bring some players that he's recruited with him we might not even want these two.
#3
I'd still like to see Jai Lucas and Steffon Pettigrew come.

Uk Has To Find A Coach Fast!!!!

Forget Patterson. Lucas is a must and also Pettigrew. Time to get Kentucky kids back in the Blue and White.

I would like to see Lucas in the Blue and White. Patterson? He hasn't impressed me what little I have seen him. It may be because he is on the same team as O.J. mayo, I don't know. But he didn't put up the numbers I was expecting. But my take on Pettigrew? YES! I know he would give anything to play for the Cats. He's a Kentucky boy who knows what basketball in this great state is about. According to Rivals.com, Kentucky is the school that he is most interested in. However, they are the only on of the 6 who has not offered him a scholarship. I realize UK didn't have enough to offer him one, along with the other few they have offered out. But if Patterson doesn't become a Cat, I say bring in Steffphon. I think he'd be a GREAT fit!

I don't mean to sound stupid, but give me some info on Pettigrew.

I just read that Patrick Patterson's Mom says, "It dosn't look good for Kentucky." She also said, "If that's how fickle the fans and boosters are, they're not loyal. It looks like Tubby was a little more loyal to his staff than Kentucky was to him."

Patterson is way overrated IMO.

Will be intresting to see what happens i hear Donovan is thinking strongly about coming from a great source...
#13
Its not that hard to see that Donovan finds the job appealing, his contract has a clause in it that the only SEC school that he can talk to is UK. He turned down a contract extension last year, because he doesn't want to be second fiddle to any other sport at the school. Urban rules the roost in Gainesville, why not come to Lexington and be the most storied prorgams savior in most fans eyes.
#14
People I am telling you now, after watching Patterson play many times in person he is WAY overrated.

She needs to stick to a subject she knows something about. Because she doesn't understand or have a clue as to whats shes talking about.

I agree, Bengal Cat. No one, and I mean NO ONE knows how big basketball is in this great state except for for the people that live here. I mean, go to a the KHSAA Sweet 16 and see the THOUSANDS of people who show up for a high school game. I was told that several years ago, roughly 24-25,000 people showed up for the Championship Game. That is how important not only college basketball, but basketball at any level is in Kentucky. She doesn't know what she is talking about. NO ONE knows what they are talking about when it comes to UK Basketball. No one but those of us who have grown up living, eating, and breathing University of Kentucky Basketball.

If Donavan comes, maybe he can Convince Noah, Green, Horford, and Brewer to transfer up. I guess not a chance considering they have to set out a year...lol

Well I have been a UK fan all my life and I have to somewhat agree with her.

Well if you have been a fan all your life you know the only thing "fickle" here is her comment.

No matter where UK plays, theres a sea of blue following, they pack the house for Big Blue Madness, they fill Rupp every game and I have been at Bluegrass Airport standing in the pouring rain(along with a thousand other fans) to greet them when they get off the plane after a heartbreaking loss.

Loyalty is one thing that should not be questioned.

His momma needs to do some research. It was KY who won the National title last year and was favored to win it again this year, and then only had 800 fans make the 4 hour drive to New Orleans to watch their team, it was FLORIDA. We were an 8 seed and took like 3 or 4 thousand fans to Chicago nowing we didnt have a chance in hell of getting past second round.

Correction: It was not KY who won championship last, sorry bout that typo
