Is now only 2 days away from opening. It officially opens Tuesday night/Wednesday morning at 12:01 am.
I've already pre-ordered my tickets and will be there at 11:15 to get my seat.
Who else is planning on going?

I'll be there an hour early to get my tickets. I can't wait for the book either.

Yep. I've got the book pre-ordered as well. But now that I've been thinking about it, I might try to sneak out to Kroger or something that night and see if they have it and avoid the mess at Wal-mart.

How did you like the movie ComfortEagle?

I thought the movie was great, but it was so different from the book.
I mean they changed a lot of things and the whole movie seemed rushed in comparison to the book.
I mean Cho was not the sneak...her friend was, and they changed that in the movie. I also didn't like how Harry heard the prophecy as soon as he picked up the ball...that's not how its supposed to happen.
I don't know, I probably shouldn't have re-read the book before seeing the movie, but it was still the best movie of the series so far.
I definitely liked the fight scene at the end.

After watching the first few movies I came to the decision that I would watch the movies as just movies and not direct interpretations of the book. I felt it was the best of the movies as well.
Having said that I didn't like how Cho was potrayed as the sneak either, they should've stuck true to the book on that one. I also didn't like how the prophecy was revealed in front of everyone as soon as he picked it up.
I was looking forward to seeing the swamp Fred and George left, but it wasn't in the movie.
I don't remember Dumbledore mentioning why he was avoiding Harry like it did in the book, but I may have just forgotten that part. I'm going to watch it again soon.

Yeah, I want to see it again sometime this weekend as well and can't wait to see the extra features on the DVD.
I agree that watching the movies as just movies and not interpretations of the book is the best way to watch them, but at the same time, there are some things that just had no reason to be changed.
I mean Cho being the sneak changes peoples interpretation of her character entirely so I don't know why they didn't give some random girl like $100 to stand in as an extra for that part...I mean there was really no need in changing that.
I guess for time they had the prophecy reveal itself so that they wouldn't have to show it during the fight scene, but they did leave out the part at the end where Dumbledore explains what the prophecy means.
I get a sneaking suspicion that they may not feel very confident in Gambons role as Dumbledore and that is why we see less of him. If that's so, they are going to have a very hard time with the next movie, as those scenes with Dumbledore, Harry, and the pensieve are crucial.
That's another thing I didn't like. They cut the pensieve out of the occlumency scenes...why I don't know, they've shown it in GOF, so they still have that prop, wouldn't be hard to use it again.
Overall the occlumency scenes bothered me, they were very short and rushed and were more of a side not, than an actual part of the story...oh well.

It seemed as though Snape was shown as a good guy and noone including Harry questioned his allegiance. In the book Harry wonders if Snape is just making his mind tired to give Voldemort an easy way in. Speaking of Voldemort I did like the scenes with him wearing the black suit. He looked truly evil.

Yeah, they have done a very good job with Voldemort.
Jeez, only like 8 more days until the book comes out.

I just can't get into the Harry Potter stuff.

I honestly can't wait until the book comes out. I will take a day or two off from everything to just read it. What don't you like about it PlayBoy?

If I had to guess, the people who say they dislike it have never even read the first book.
I have only run into one person in my life who has said they didn't like the books.
If all you're going on is the movies, then I can see why you might not get that into it, but the books are so much different.
But yeah, when book 7 comes out I'm afraid I won't be on here for a couple days. I'm avoiding all internet and any possibility where I could encounter spoilers.
