Murder-Suicide in Pike Co.

A nine-month-old baby boy was shot to death Thursday night by his father, who then killed himself on the side of U.S. 23 at Robinson Creek, police said.

I am sure that someone heard about this on the news. The man kidnapped his 9 month old son from the babysitter, drove through 3 counties with the police chasing him, and then shot his son 3 times and turned the gun on himself.

This story really touched me. I cannot ever imagine harming a child. How could this man shoot his own son 3 times? Twice in the head and once in the torso.

Now the man cannot be punished on Earth for what he did. I just figured that I would share this story and my outrage for what happened. I don't know what you could possibly post back to this but I had to tell someone how upset this all made me. Please pray for or at least have this family in your thoughts.

I don't konw if the dad actually shot the baby yet.. I think it's somewhat sketchy.. I mean the guy was running from the cops, and the cops were shooting from what I've heard.. I mean if he did then this is horrible, but I don't know..

Seems unlikely that the cops would have missed the dad but hit the baby 3 times though.

Anything is possible.. I wouldn't rule it out.. I mean it might not be true.. But its another angle to look at..

I'm pretty sure that it was the father.....couldn't imagine the cops missing or shooting when the child was in the line of fire.

the news reported that it was the father that shot the child. i am just still confused on how someone could be so cold-hearted and kill a child. as it is, i am basically raising my little cousin. she turns 2 in 8 days and i love that girl more than anything or anyone else on this earth. i know that i could never do anything to hurt her in any way.

Why would the police shoot at a car with a baby in it? I don't think you give police enough credit..They're a little smarter than that...

Apparently you've never had a bad run in with some of the police in these areas.. Not to mention there were supposedly 2 guns on the scene. I'm not saying that the cops did shoot, but its just something i thought would be interesting to talk about. of course we all know that nothing would ever come out into the open abotu something like that. but it makes the conversation a little more interesting, and gives people something to think about.

Hahah..I've had more than a bad run with the police in "these" areas and I live 2 miles from where this happened...Why would it be interesting to talk about if the police shot a 9 month old baby or not? You think police just go in to the Post and say "sign me up and gimme a gun I want to go shoot people".They're smart enough not to shoot a baby(especially 3 times)...It would probably come out into the open considering these police cars have in dash cameras and the fact that the shooting and chase will be reviewed by head officials in Frankfort probably over 100 times....It's not that interesting and I for one dont think that all of the police on the scene would just all shake hands and agree not to talk about it if they somehow did do this by accident....

My mom works at the Hospital where they brought the baby, they said it was dead before the father shot the baby.... It died from exposure of the cold, cause all it had on was a Onesie and a t-shirt. it's hands were blue and it's lips were blue... it was already dead.

This is a very heart wrenching story that I dont even want to comment on. It is horrible and whoever did this should be punished ( if not already assuming that the events happened the way they were told on tv). I dont know how things in a person's life could ever get so bad that they would let their children die. I have an almost nine month old and hearing things like this shocks me and makes me feel things that I cannot express in words...

yes, it really is. i have came to the conclusion that there is at least one person in this world willing to do one of the weirdest things that anyone could possibly think of. for each weird action, fetish, etc. there is someone who would like it. but the people that do not mind killing in some way, shape, or form is one of the sickest. children are so innocent and no child and no family deserves what this man had happen to his.
