Student kills 9 before turning weapon on himself
#1
A Minnesota Indian reservation is trying to overcome "shock and disbelief" as it looks for reasons why a high school student went on a shooting rampage Monday, killing nine people and wounding as many as 13 others before killing himself.

Police said the student, Jeffrey Weise, killed two of his grandparents, went to his high school and killed seven people there.

The dead include five students, a female teacher, a male security officer.

this such a terrible story.. I may consider home schooling my boys

i heard about this story. i hate it that all these school shootings happen all over the united states. it makes me feel uneasy about going to school because you never really know what kid or what day that it could possibly be. i would hate it for east ridge to be all hardcore super cop like but its not really safe as is. they have more cameras than any school in the region but what is cameras going to do if someone is already shooting?

Why home-schooling may be safer, you have to look at the big picture...We may live in a dangerous world, but your boys are just as likely to be shot in Wal-Mart or kidnapped someday while playing in the yard or just by being seperated from you for a moment....Anything can happen anywhere....Just because people get killed in car-accidents doesn't mean you walk all the way to work and what-not...

I wouldn't consider home-schooling your children..They'll be missing out on a lot, and lack many social skills in the future that will help them in life...

What would drive anyone to do this is beyond me. Just goes to show you what kind of sick people are out there in the world.

Why isn't this getting as much press as the damn Terri Shivao thing?

It is to the point at ERHS that i may start wearing Kevlar vests to school, cause some kid came out of the closet the other day, and i look for him to bring a Sawed Off to school to settle a few scores he has.
