I agree with you. I think we were over looking Magoffin and didn't play as well as we could, but was able to pull it together and win. Congrats Estill!

estill come out flat i dont think so. magoffin substained there blocks and they moved the ball great... but yes estill came out and put 6 on the board in less then 3 min i think plz correct me if im wrong and that my friend is not flat, but estill could not stop magoffins fullback #34 Jordan howard from gaining yards because the rest of the team was doing so good blocking until they got a 8 man front. and magoffins defense didnt do to bad either they didnt play great but they didnt play bad either. on three of the forth down estill blocked our guys in the back... if they had todo over estill couldnt beat them no worse then what it was and if they had to play in magoffins district they would be in for a rude awaking.. great game to watch and good luck to the neers in the playoffs... and magoffin keep working because you all are doing co much better keep it up.

I agree that Magoffin played a good game.. I'm not taking anything away from them, but our boys did come out flat...

Estill scored every time they had the ball. The thing is that they didn't have the ball quite as much as usual. Magoffing played Estill's game of keep away.
Magoffin scored on the 1st drive 4 to 5 yds. at a time. Estill made adjustments and shut them down in the 1st half. 21-8 at the half. 2nd half kickoff took a strange hop into the fastest player on the field and he was GONE! 21-14. Last drive of the game Estill up 35-14, Morgan screens all the way down the field on Estill's prevent D and gets close enough for the big boy to punch it in with seconds remaining on the clock. Estill kneels the KO and the next play and it's over. I said all along that Magoffin wasn't that bad, was a good game. That #34 sure was a load!

Estill was flat ! You can't play the "if" game with football because you can "if" your way into winning every game even when your team isn't that good and give yourself and other fans false hope. Bottom line is we won , you lost and we play again next year so save the comments till then.

Give the Hornets a little credit!
Don't say that the only reason that Magoffin was even close was because Estill was flat.
How about Magoffin was better than you thought and they moved the ball on you all night and played pretty good defense.
All Magoffin needed was a few breaks and it would have been a dog fight til the end.
#34 Jordan Howard is a load to bring down a full back; but lets give the Line blocking for him a little credit. Everyone thinks its all an individual effort by the backs running the ball; but it's those guys up front moving people out of the way that make the hole for the back to run through.

Must not have watched close enough. Several Freshman and Sophomores started due to injuries. I am pretty sure we started 2 seniours, 4 juniors and the rest JV/Freshmen. My apoligies, you only got half of the JV. I was wrong!!! Won't be the last time, I'm sure. We will see you all next year. :thumpsup:

Yep! We pull that in the playoffs, we'll be out before we get a chance to go try Breathitt again!

Im sorry but you are very wrong they did come out flat on D and did not get much better the whole game. O was moving the ball as usal. Whether you thought so or not cause i do know so.
Magoffin has a pretty good team. Best of luck to them in the playoffs.

Let's put this game to rest. Magoffin has a quality team as I've said all along.
They were well coached and had solid players on the line and in the backfield. It was definitely a throwback game with all the running and smashmouth football. With the proliferation of the spread offense it's refreshing to see some good ole fashioned football. Good luck hornets for your remaining game, and in the playoffs! Estill good luck vs. Knott!

Well next year learn how to tell apart from when your JV team is "Actually" your Varsity team.

Hopefully I will be able to predict the future by then too and let you know who gets hurt and which one's of the Freshmen/JV are playing. Think about it, you got our young guys this year, next year they are not going to be young. Think about it!!! :eek:

Thank you VLW! Like I said, it better be picked up or we will not get a chance to see the BOBCATS again!!! One thing else VLW, they got beat by Morgan Co.

Pretty Good Defense don't give up 35 points. Pretty Good Defense gives up around 10-12 pts. per game.

Magoffin is a very soild football team their offense is really good, running the wishbone very effectivley. Jordan Howard the brut fullback & linebacker is the leader of that team along with QB & linebacker Shane "Smiley" Allen! But their defense & special teams is very talented, their defense tackled very well against Belfry, but gave up big plays on kick and punt returns, and they have one of the best players you've never heard of MR. Special Teams Colby Gipson he had 80 yard kick return against Estill Co. and is also our kicker and punter.

Think about what??? For someone who is suposed to be an Oldtimer; seems like you would have retained somthing about the game of football over the years. Several of your comments and posts make me wonder; just how much you actually know about the sport. I guess that you think your only team that plays under classmen.
Magoffin plays and starts several freshmen and sophmores on offense and defense.:eek:
So, I guess we'll see how well you fair when you come to Magoffin next year; without the home ref's; with all your JV players.
