well yeah, im sure it was 4th down..what are you supposed to do go for it with the lead? we only got to 4th down twice last night..now kicking a field goal on 3rd down doesnt make much since when you have freshmen that want to get some varsity time does it?

I know your being sarcastic, and if your from Shelby Valley then why are you acting like you don't run up the score on teams? Let me refresh your memory... Phelps last year and East Ridge this year. You have no right to make Prestonsburg look classless when your team is no different.

I think that it is just sore losers who are complaining about Prestonsburg's JV running the score up on people. It is their JV not their varsity. It just happens that the JV at P-burg is better than MC varsity what should they have done played 8th graders, you all just don't like P-burg because they are better than you or you don't like their coaching style. I've been on the wrong side of many P-burg games and I can't say enough nice things about their program. They are winners and winning is what they do. If you don't like getting killed by them, well try doing things the way they do it and maybe you can be just as good. Good Luck P-burg hope you make it to the Pizza Box.

The fact is, Prestonsburg was up 49-0 at halftime. The starters go out and the JV scores 21 points and holds MC to 6 points. This is football people. If you want to cry about losing that bad, then maybe you should think about asking your school to stop having a football team. I respect teams that get out there every week and give it their all, but when people whine and cry about a team getting beat this bad, then maybe that team should think about doing something different to entertain them during the fall season. And I know none of these "whiners" are from Morgan Co. either. Most of these people are from other schools that got their butts handed to them by Prestonsburg and are bitter because of it.

And just to add more to my statement, the following has happened this year.
Belfry beat East Ridge 53-6 and Shelby Valley 51-8.
Shelby Valley beat Knott Central 55-0 and East Ridge 61-19.
Johnson Central beat Conner 50-12 and Bryan Station 58-21.
Paintsville beat Phelps 54-6 and Betsy Layne 54-18.
Pikeville beat Betsy Layne 52-0 and Allen Central 52-6 and recently 66-14(Pikeville really has a right to talk about running up a score).
So, we, the fans of all of these other schools I mentioned, might want to get a clue when talking about a team running up the score cuz obviously every team in Eastern Kentucky is "classless" by your terms.

I personally don't like to see teams run the score up very high, but this is the playoffs. If you don't like it, play harder and get a better seed in the playoffs. When it comes to the playoffs, every team for themselves IMO. Win and win big to make a statement.
And for the record, I'm not a very big fan of Prestonsburg

i agree, how come they had to score 70? gosh, we knew they were hands down better than morgan, but gosh, 49-0 would have been plenty..

Awesome game Blackcats. and as for all the people complaining about the score, well here is what I say to that, Both teams are out there to get as many points as they can. It's not prestonsburgs fault that they are just better players. They earned every point they got ,and deserve a pat on the back not a slap in the face for haveing such a good team. Good Luck aginst Shelby valley next week boys I hope you beat the pants off them too.

Fact of the matter is, when you are the 1 sees you get this cupcake game and coaches like to work on things. Prestonsburg has a new QB and he needs to get in rythm. I hear Morgan Co's coach on the radio the other day make the statement his team matched up better with Pburg than it did Bath or Shelby Valley.

he had 35 all purpose td's..allen only has to have 2 or 3 more touchdowns to break his rushing touchdown record.

Oh come on. I cannot believe you wrote this. Every ball game that I have been to in the past many years has had someone from every team do something that is considered dirty. Even your Shelby Valley team.

That's actually a very good statement. It is absolutely ridiculous to have 4-team districts, when all 4 teams make the playoffs. You can have situations where a terrible team that goes 0-10 on the year still makes the post-season, which is silly. This district really only had 3 teams this year worthy of going to the playoffs.
I still don't understand why people on here are complaining. What were P-Burg's players supposed to do the entire second half, take 3 knees and punt every possession? Yeesh...
